Most sushi restaurants I’ve frequented over the years are inconsistent with quality and freshness—which is what got me to try Taku in the first place and I’ve never looked back! We order from here 3-4 times per month….and we love it! They also have great Asian dishes when I’m not in the mood for sushi, but the rest of my family is. “We moved from Port Washington to MA this May and have been unable to find a spot that offers everything that Aki does, not to mention at the same quality! They just execute everything so well. It was our go to for sushi, we loved the apps (the crispy rice and jalapeño yellowtail are fire), and loved also having options for classic Chinese food. We loved that it offered a little bit of everything. We only ever ordered takeout but the service was always top notch too. We love and miss you Aki!“

We craved for Ramen since our last Japan trip weeks ago so we had this idea to try it here. Savoring the Kinha Ramen took us back in time when we were in Japan enjoying this noodle dish. You have to try it along side a Japanese soda drink! My family had a welcoming experience which provided an atmosphere of just being ourselves to enjoy family time while enjoying palatable dishes. This restaurant also has an area for those meet ups that calls for to be a little more private and still be relaxed by the bubbly fizz in your glass. Paula, the manager of the place, was very attentive which made this dining experience a very pleasant one. Thanks Paula and your crew. Oh, wait! They could be a little friendlier on a consistent basis, which has affected some reviews. However, they aren't rude. Overall, we love the food and it's worth going to as often as we can.“

“I generally like the food here, I have tried their general tso's chicken, pad thai, scallion pancakes, pork fried dumplings and various sushi dishes which were all quite good. Not a top restaurant but definitely a decent pick and not insanely expensive considering the area it is in. There usually arent that many people eating there if you like a relatively quiet dining experience but I also rated it a 3 for atmosphere as it isn't very lively. Good service, 4 stars for me overall.“

“Recently tried out Happy Garden in Bayside for takeout, and every dish tasted delicious.

The beef chow fun was a standout wide rice noodles stir-fried with tender beef, onions, scallions, and bean sprouts, coated in a soy-based sauce and infused with wok hei, that smoky flavor prized in Cantonese cooking. Chow fun has long roots in Cantonese street food culture, where rice noodles became a staple for being hearty, affordable, and versatile.

The fish fillet and tofu casserole came with tender fish, silken tofu, green beans, and scallions in a rich brown sauce. Traditionally, this kind of casserole is served sizzling in a clay pot ,a cooking vessel that has been part of Chinese kitchens for centuries, known for holding heat and allowing flavors to meld. Even in a takeout container, the sauce soaked beautifully into the tofu and vegetables, making it hearty, savory, and deeply comforting.

The boiled chicken with scallion and ginger was clean, tender, and aromatic. This dish reflects Cantonese and Hainanese traditions of poaching chicken to preserve its natural flavor. What makes it special is the dipping sauce of minced scallion, ginger, and hot oil, which enhances the delicacy of the meat without overpowering it.

To end the meal, the complimentary red bean dessert soup (紅豆沙) was a lovely touch. This sweet soup has been enjoyed for centuries across Chinese households and banquets, prized for being nourishing yet light. Its smooth sweetness balanced out the savory dishes perfectly.“
