“This was our first time dining at The Whelk! The food was so flavorful and fulfilling! We started with chilled shrimp, roasted oysters, and the deviled eggs. We split the broccoli and fish/chips and it was very savory. My mouth was watering as I took every bite! We also had a tropical mezcal drink and it was absolutely delicious. The almond cake and chamomile tea was top notch. Our waitress Nicole was so sweet and attentive. We will definitely return!!“

WFC catered their seafood feast so to speak which included steamed lobster, seafood chowder, barbecued salmon, barbecued shrimp, corn on the cob and a variety of salads. The premium white chunks of chicken were cooked to perfection, and it was evident that this restaurant does not cut any corners in ensuring that their food is at its best. “We hosted a private party here yesterday and Terry, the manager, was beyond incredible! I work in the restaurant industry, so I truly appreciate when the level of service is exceptional! They closed the restaurant down for us, provided a band that was so good that they should be recording their own albums (Green Eyed Lady), offered top shelf open bar, and a buffet featuring all the fun bar food the Black Duck is known for...all at a reasonable price. The staff was warm, attentive, and professional. You need to be prepared that the ambience is that of a dive bar, which is what I expected and wanted ....not fancy, with crooked floors, and no frills. That being said, I would book another event at the Black Duck in a heartbeat!“
“The food here was so good for such an affordable price. I ate the Szechuan broth with tons of pork belly and beef as well as beef bulgogi. Everything was great and the customer service was amazing. All the staff was so considerate and kind. 10/10 would highly recommend!“
