“I drove down to Stamford the other night to go down to workout at lifetime fitness since I have a membership. I from New Jersey so I was delighted to see all of the restaurants and how well the area is kept clean. The parking is easy.The food at the Capital Grill was not bad at all. I had a new england clam chowder and a caesar salad. It wasn't the best thing I've ever had but it was nice to sit at the bar and be the only patron. The service was extremely masterful and I found myself receiving therapy from the bartender.I will absolutely be visiting again the next time I am at the gym!“
“I enjoyed a amazing dinner with outstanding service. The food was fresh, full of flavor, filling and plated to perfection. I had a guava margarita with a tagin rim that I wanted to drink by the gallon. The atmosphere is cozy yet spacious, romantic and luxurious. Even the bathroom is beautiful with plenty of mirrors. The service was quick, attentive and so friendly. Special thanks to the server who took our pictures and even put the lights back on for there photo corner. Order the grilled octopus!!!!!!!“
“It was Valentine's Day so our expectations were not high. It turned out the service was very good and so was the food. No long wait. Only issue was being seated near the door with the cold air constantly blowing in at us. We would go back again in a heartbeat and just sit somewhere else.“
“I’ve always walked past this place and today I decided to stop by with my partner for Happy Hour. It was one of the best experiences we have had in Stamford yet. The bartender, Branling, recommended food to try and he made us some of the best drinks I have had I had to order a couple more (old fashion and Italian 75) because he truly made them like no other. I can’t wait to come back and try their dinner menu and many more items because of the amazing experience I had this afternoon!“
“Had lunch with a buddy here recently. Old school place. Spots like this are a dying breed. We started with shrimp, scungilli, and the arugula salad. The shrimp was disappointing, I would not order again. Buddy had the lasagna which he destroyed, huge portion. I had the blacked salmon special which was very good, nice filet. The broccoli rabe was great, lots of garlic. Looking forward to my next visit.“
“August 18, 2022 1st time at Trips and I thought the food was AMAZING , I should have ordered the Prime Rib, after I saw almost every table having it , and seeing friends of mine , their 3 children eating Prime Rib , I definitely know next time , but if you like chicken you won't be disappointed in the chicken francaise and their cheesecake super smooth.“

For take out, I ordered the imperial and sushi B..Supposed to come with 10 pieces of sushi.. however both only came with 8.Restaurant is expensive. So if you gonna charge this much. You should at least honor what you said you would do.“

The fish is always fresh and cooked to perfection and I love having the julienne of vegetables - very tasty and again, healthy. My vegetarian friend loved her main course too. “Great food, I had the baked chicken dinner large and came with three sides, collar greens, candy yams & and never forget the Mac, the greens was awesome season to perfection, the chicken was cleaned very well, the Mac & cheese was not too oily, & the yams wasn't too sweet and syrupy it was just wright were I could still taste the yam, the only thing was the area, this place needs to be in the heavens instead it's in a back street hidden away, but I found it and it was delicious!!!“

“I've been to The Americano, a new trendy eatery in downtown Stamford twice and thought it time to give this restaurant a review. Simply put, it's exceptional and thankfully, a big hit. The word of mouth has really helped since I frequently hear people talking about it. Our party of three dined on a Saturday night. Our server, I wish I knew his name, was polite, helpful, and efficient. When he brought the wrong drink (things happen) he quickly fixed the issue and was gracious throughout. We enjoyed the Burrata and Truffle Arancini as starters, and the Hangar Steak, Salmon, and Scallops with a side of truffle fries and a side of spinach. For dessert, the caramel bread pudding. For drinks, the raspberry thyme, margarita, and gimlet. Each and every item was exceptional! As a courtesy, the kind manager gave us free drink vouchers for a nightcap at the bar. The Americano is run incredibly well with a caring, knowledgeable staff and a cool hip ambiance with black, white, and red atmosphere. It's always crowded which is proof that the restaurant is being appreciated as one of the new Stamford hits of 2023 and beyond.“

“Great location in a lively, redeveloped section of Stamford. We had an event with a fixed price menu and each course was amazingly good. Come hungry, because they give you a lot of food. Apps, salad, pasta and main courses were all wonderful. Great service and a great view of the harbor. Not sure if it is open to the public, but if it is, check it out.“
