“Went to my great nieces birthday and Baptism; Charlotte is 1 year old! Apparently, Wellington Grill is being rented as a special catering event location.
Very clean, lots of windows, 2 large rooms including a full bar on one side. A couple of areas for hors douerves and buffet or sit down dinner.
Food was amazing! You choose the menu!

“I chose the sushi deluxe, and I guess it’s similar to an omakase style. They told me it would be 9 pieces with one roll, and honestly, all the selections were great. The fish was very fresh and high quality. I was also really impressed by their service.

My friend and I were deep in conversation and lost track of time, but they never rushed us to leave. I will definitely be coming back and will make a reservation next time (we were lucky to get seats with no wait just by walking in)!“

“I went to a family friend’s 70th birthday party they hosted in the Atlantic ballroom. The space was modern and very clean. The food was DELICIOUS!!! And the workers, Yiselle, Estrellita, and Shorty (blonde) made the event so memorable! They paid attention to every detail, whether it was filling our water cups, collecting unused plates and of course they did it all with a warm smile. They were kind, funny and very welcoming. “I attended a surprise party this Saturday evening. The cuisine was preselected, waiter service was excellent, should receive raises. The table arrangement was very poor. The party was downstairs in one of the private rooms. We were 25 people at one very long table, basically the length of the room, which made it difficult for guests to get around the seated persons at the head of the table on either side. Having two tables would have been a better arrangement, but one long table was not conducive for conversation since we were so far from the other end of the table. The food; not many complaints, I really didn’t have a problem. I didn’t have a lot of food, but it was delicious. The dessert, sorry not very good. Those Famous Crepes(palacinkes) sorry not that great. A lot of crepe and not a lot of filling. The dish was served with fruit, unfortunately this fruit was not in season, so the watermelon although it added color to the dish, upon tasting it, left much to be desired. Why not serve fruit that is in season? No offense to my party hosts who selected my menu for the evening, it didn’t lend itself to the 5 Star Reputation of Dubrovnik’s. I would like to make reservations and splurge on a dinner on my own, I have a feeling I would LOVE the experience! Btw, another plus was the parking!“

Today I went for a lobster roll which replaced the shrimp roll. last year this lobster was so delicious 😋 couldn't wait till the summer. unfortunately, I was highly disappointed. it is not longer on a garlic bun and now served on a plain hot dog bun :( also flavorless! last yr price was $24 and now up to $28 with no flavor and blah bun. please bring back the recipe from years before. thanks“

“I first visited this restaurant when they opened in 2016. A decade later, I happened to be visiting the area and stopped off here for lunch with my boyfriend. I can honestly say this place hasn't lost their touch.
The restaurant is dark and cozy with a fireplace in the back, making it a perfect spot for a romantic dinner or nice lunch. The servers are all well-versed in the menu items and oyster selection. The restaurant usually has some great specials that are always worth trying out.
This visit was somewhat brief so we only got mains. The special of the day was swordfish. They offer the option to choose your prep style so we each got the swordfish; I tried the lemon butter sauce and my boyfriend got the red pepper sauce. Both were perfectly prepared and delicious. We also shared a side of the grilled asparagus which was perfectly cooked.
A solid 10/10. Highly recommended for any foodies as this place also has some fantastic non-seafood options.“

“Best fried or steamed fish you will ever have from a store front. And seriously maybe the cheapest. My go to is the fried flounder sandwich, $5 today, sometimes $6 cash for two huge pieces depending upon market price. They give you the tarter and lemon and tons of other condiments and spices to put on yourself, just how you like it, before they neatly wrap it up and bag it for you. I always tip them two bucks. Been coming and thankful for them for the last 25 years when they used to be a block south. There are similar looking joints but none nearly as consistently good as Dyre Fish is. I have tried so many, hoping. It is the oil they dont allow to be used too long and the fresh fish picked up daily at Hunts Point Fish Market. And the prices have barely gone up in all that time.“

For apps we had oysters- was really good but would love if they would add a mignonette. For my main course though the red snapper was FANTASTIC. And the chicken martini was also fantastic. We didn't stay for dessert but will certainly be back, the service was very kind and attentive. The ambiance was nice with the view of the fountain.“

“What an incredible dining experience at The Silent Sea in City Island, Bronx! From the location to the atmosphere and, of course, the food, everything was outstanding!

The restaurant is perfectly situated right at the entrance to City Island, and having parking available in the back is a huge plus, especially in this area. The atmosphere alone deserves an 11 out of 10!

We started with several appetizers, and every single one was delicious. The Greek fries were hands down the best fries I’ve ever had! The tuna tartare was incredibly fresh, the fried calamari was cooked to perfection, and the fried sardines were absolutely delicious.

For dinner, we ordered the lobster and the baked branzino. Both dishes were exceptional, not only in flavor but also in presentation. You can tell that attention is given to every detail.

Overall, a fantastic experience from beginning to end. Great atmosphere, amazing food, and a beautiful setting. I highly recommend visiting The Silent Sea! Definitely a place worth coming back to!“

I actually call the restaurant just to get some information and the service over the phone was amazing.. I'm from down south and I know what seafood needs to taste like and the shrimp and fish I had was excellent the shrimp was sweet fried to perfection.. sometimes I'm a little bit nervous ordering seafood through GrubHub or doordash or any of them but actually the delivery process the GrubHub was probably one of the best that I've had and I'm going to normally doordash fan he delivered the food the food was hot when I got it all the condiments was in it that I needed I didn't have to ask for.. “This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Things were screwed up from beginning to end with absolutely no sense of apology or remorse. We had a 630 reservation, showed up on time, but we weren't seated until almost 7pm. The waiter came to our table for the first time at 720pm. We had researched the menu ahead of time to make sure there were kid friendly options, but since it was Mother's Day, they were operating with a different menu which is totally fine. We asked the waiter if they had any kid friendly food that wasn't on the menu and he said no and that all we can get is what's listed on the menu, so we went ahead and ordered. About 20 mins after we ordered, we saw that the kids at the table next to us were eating chicken fingers and french fries, so we asked the waiter why he didn't tell us about that option. He said that we didn't ask and he got a bit of an attitude about it. Luckily he was able to change our order and the kids got chicken tenders. We waited patiently for an incredibly long time for our food to come out, and at about 830, I got up and asked the waiter for an ETA on the food and he again gave me an attitude like I was ruining his night and he said "soon". The food came out about 2 minutes later, so we were hopefully going to get on with our evening. Upon further inspection, the chicken tenders that they delivered to my daughter were RAW. Not just slightly under cooked, completely raw, pink, cold chicken. We called the waiter over again and he again had an attitude when we sent the food back. Again, not even a hint of an apology to be found. When the chicken came back out, it was completely burnt, but we decided it wasn't worth the time to talk to the waiter about it again. At this point we had been at the restaurant for 2 hours with a 5 and 8 year old kid, so we just wanted to be done and get out. Again, at no point during this experience did a single person offer an apology or even show an ounce of remorse for how terrible the service was. They ruined my wife and mother-in-law's Mother's Day dinner and they should be ashamed to call themselves a restaurant. We are a local family, but we will never go back there again. I will also make it a point to tell everyone I know that Caffe Regatta is a terrible restaurant.“
