I just moved to the town from the West Village and can honestly say the food is better here. And lastly, look at their wines by the glass: Caymus, Antinori. “I don't see how anyone is knocking the restaurant. Other than some higher prices for dishes, I was happy with everything we ordered. Between, the pastas and seafood and desserts and appetizers this restaurants food was spot on. The ambiance was a delightful surprise, one night they had live music in the bar which you can hear through the restaurant. And they had the fire place rocking which was awesome for the cold winter nights. They had a great wine selection for bottles and glasses and even served the glasses in the appropriate glassware, which is a nice treat. Highly recommend to anyone staying at the hotel or passing through. Great upscale restaurant, doing everything right.“

“Unexpected Delight at Elm Street Oyster House, Greenwich CTSometimes, the most unexpected detours lead to memorable experiences, and my serendipitous visit to Elm Street Oyster House in Greenwich, CT, was no exception. Originally en route to New Canaan, a flat tire and a subsequent two-hour wait at Mavis Tire Center presented an unforeseen predicament. Yet, what initially seemed like a dampener on my day transformed into an opportunity to explore Greenwich under the guise of a simple quest for a good meal.Braving the 20-minute walk in the rain, I stumbled upon Elm Street Oyster House, a decision that turned my misfortune into a delightful escapade. The restaurant welcomed me with a cozy ambiance that was a much-needed respite from the cold rain outside. Opting for a mix of East Coast and West Coast oysters, I embarked on a culinary adventure that was both fresh and invigorating. The highlight of my visit was not just the exquisite food but the warm and engaging service, particularly from a Brazilian server who was more than willing to share his rich experiences in Martha’s Vineyard. Our conversation was sparked by my curiosity about the Katama oysters on the menu, leading to a lively exchange about summer adventures in the Vineyard. It was this personal touch that elevated the dining experience, making me feel more like a guest than a customer.Elm Street Oyster House proved to be more than just a place to eat; it was a sanctuary that offered solace and unexpected joy on a rainy day. The combination of fresh, delectable oysters and impeccable service made the walk through the rain utterly worth it. My visit to this charming establishment was a reminder that sometimes, it’s the unplanned moments that leave the most lasting impressions.I eagerly look forward to my next visit to Elm Street Oyster House, a beacon of hospitality and culinary excellence in Greenwich, CT. Whether you find yourself stranded like I was, or you’re simply in search of a dining experience that combines great food with heartfelt conversations, this oyster house is a destination that should not be missed.“

“First time here but always drove by and never felt inclined to go inside. My mom recommended it so we decided to come for a casual quick bite. The food was surprisingly delicious! It's unassuming because the reviews aren't great but I loved the burrata and my salad was so good. My mom loved her burger and the meat was perfectly cooked. They also have really friendly and speedy service. The only issue is the bugs that are flying around when you eat so maybe it should be a bit cleaner but still giving 5 stars. Overall, I was impressed by Caren's CC. I think the prices are great too!“

“The clam chowder was very creamy, maybe a bit too much. I enjoyed my lobster roll although the bread wasn't quite what I expected. The salad that came with the roll was the highlight of my meal. A taste of octopus and a scallop from the plates of my parents were delicious. I shared truffle fries with my brother, so it was a family affair. The service was nice, although one of the forks wasn't clean. The ambiance was pleasant enough and I liked the stained glass style windows. Table cloths and cloth napkins were a nice touch as well. The food I had was worth the price.“
