“Spotted Llama Lips from the train this morning, looked up the menu and decided what better time than the present to try Peruvian food for the first time!? Ordered take-out for dinner and absolutely LOVED the lomo saltado, it traveled great!!“

“My first time trying Peruvian food, and I loved it! There is a large menu and all items are explained well on it. The server, Jeimy, was lovely. She explained the different items and how to best combine the sauce with the rice. She answered all of our questions with kindness. The food came out piping hot and promptly after ordering. If I lived closer, I'd eat here again for sure!

I had the chicken and beef saltado, and it was EXCELLENT. That green sauce is an awesome addition to the meal!“

“My mom asked me to bring her here while I was visiting her in NYC. She had been here before. I was accompanied by my mom, daughter, niece, & 1 of my best friends. We shared appetizers, main dishes & of course, drinks. The restaurant is VERY intimate. Being a Caribbean spot, you expect to hear the sounds & enjoy the cuisine. They DID NOT disappoint. Excellent food, drinks & service. Be prepared to spend money, but absolutely worth the price of admission. The menu will change from time to time, but it does not disappoint.“

“I was a vit skeptical at the beginning after reading all of the bad reviews, but as a Peruvian I approve! The food of course can't be compared to a meal from a mercado in Lima or from Miami, but this location has done well. I ordered the ceviche and my aunt had a tamal and papa a la huancaina.
Everything came within 10 minutes and food was delicious, again don't expect a lot, but it is better than your average peruvian restaurant in the US“

“Just order one plate for lunch and I loved the black beans along with the fried sweet plantains. However, was very disappointed about the broil chicken. Could barely eat it! Was very dry and tasted old, like if it was leftover from a prior day and they just warmed it up in the broiler again to put on my plate. Recommend for other food on the menu, but not the broil chicken!“
