“We came here on Friday and it’s a nice place for Mexican food. We got the chicken torts and vegetarian quesadilla with a side of ride and beans. The location in Stamford is fantastic, very walkable neighborhood and feels like you are on a vacation (lol). Prices are quite reasonable especially for the neighborhood. Highly recommend this place if you are in Stamford and in mood for some good Mexican food.”

“My hubby is a pizza diva and this was by far his favorite! I had a ham sandwich which was delicious and perfectly assembled. The deviled eggs had a small pleasant twist compared to the plain ones I am used to. Most importantly the staff was immediately welcoming and delightful. If you are ever near Mish Mosh, you MUST stop in. Prices were on point as well. A normal meal would have been about 8bucks a person for us but we ordered a ton of pizza so it was a little more.”

“Took a chance on this hole-in-the- wall type restaurant on the way back from NYC and did not disappoint. The malai kofta was excellent, and chicken methi wala was something new. But for me the best dish was makke ki roti sarso ka saag- being from Delhi I haven’t had such authentic punjabi food in the kast decade here in US! We even got a little kheer side in our take out which was delicious! Hope they keep up this level of food and service!”

When we sat down, Chef Adam introduced himself and we really appreciated that as he was very personable. Sometimes they are busy or may not have what you may want but think about it. Its late night and they didnt get their delivery yet. Other than that 10/10 would recommend. “When it comes for fast food I am McDonald man. My little Hon wanted to try Wendy’s on a daddy daughter day for some extra alone time. Her “friend” keeps putting it in her developing brain that is sooo good. Well let me tell you it hit the spots for both of us. We did drive thru option because she thinks it’s fun to eat in the car with her old dad. I had a frosty which was delish us and a large fry which was perfect cook and even healthier because they use sea salts. She had a coke and a regular nugget and a spicy nuggets to try. I was worried about the spice level for her but it wasn’t hot and spicy just well seasoned. She also had a frostie and they are almost as good as real icecream probably a little healthier because it’s melting a little. Also service was fast and intercom was clear.”

The staff was cordial.The only real knock I experienced with this place was accessibility. Pulling in is a little awkward, but leaving was a hassle. It is located somewhat on West Main Street, and it is a busy road.Anyway, I was close to trying this place on a few other occasions but have always decided against it because of this Kentucky Fried Chicken's awkward location and accessibility. I don't know if I will return to this location.Bottom line is it is a KFC, and the food is typical of a KFC...Update (7/1/2021); This is one of the few locations I see that is still only charging $3.99 for the chicken sandwich while other locations are up to $4.99...”

“We dropped in as I was looking for peruvian food and how could I resist the name, Llama Lips. The restaurant is clean, the staff lovely and attentive. We got the lunch specials, Estofado de Pollo and Filete de Pescadi Frito. It came with a glass of Chicha Morado - yummmy and refreshing-and a generous bowl of soup. They also offered bread and olive oil, butter and their version of pio pio sauce. The entrees were super generous. And they have a hot sauce that is ?- make sure you ask for some!

“Maruichi is a Japanese grocery store located across the street from ShopRite and Stop&Shop. It’s a little bigger than Daido in White Plains, NY, but much smaller than Mitsuwa Marketplace Edgewater, NJ. They have a pretty extensive dry goods and frozen food sections, and prices are reasonable as well. The meat and produce sections are a bit on the small side, but you can always jut go across the street to the two big supermarkets if you need something. There is also a small café (outdoor seating only) and a variety of home and beauty goods on the small second floor loft area.
It’s very similar to Daido, but if I were to compare the two, I think that at Maruichi, the prepared foods are more interesting and higher quality. Overall, they carry a more extensive range of almost all items as well. They also carry a small selection of artisanal food items (e.g. nodoguro and flying fish dashi packets, tsukudani, etc) that you won’t find at Daido. I also think that in general, the prices are better at Maruichi. The produce sections are about the same. At Daido, I think the fresh seafood/meat section and their sushi (prepared next door by Sushi Tatsu) is better. Also, given that Daido has an outpost of Parisienne Bakery located in the store, the baked goods tend to be more varied and better there as well.
Regardless, Maruichi is a very nice, well-priced store that is well worth the stop if you are looking for Japanese food products.”

We got there pretty much right after they opened at 12, so it wasn't very busy at all with just one other table of diners. The interior of the restaurant wasn't particularly fancy or anything, and a bit dark for my liking, but that didn't really bother us. After reviewing the menu, we ended up ordering the yellowtail maki, and the dynamite and tiger rolls from their Special Rolls menu. The food was delicious! The tiger roll (tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and avocado wrapped in soybean paper) was probably my fave, followed by the dynamite roll (pepper salmon, avocado, and spicy white tuna) and the yellowtail maki last. It was a great spot for a simple sushi lunch and we left both full and satisfied. I definitely want to try out some other sushi spots in the area, but if you're looking for a quick and yummy sushi spot in Stamford, give Sushi x2 a try!”

“Really chill place for some new age twist on Viet pho and ramen noodles. I enjoyed the vibes and the serving staff was fantastic when it came to taking the order and the food itself. My only issue was the hostess hanny who had just an attitude when it came to reseating us due to a preference. However our server Nick was the friendliest they could be from bussing all the way to just making sure that we were taken care of. I would only suggest to the owner to find a hostess that actually seems like they like people.”

“Great location in a lively, redeveloped section of Stamford. We had an event with a fixed price menu and each course was amazingly good. Come hungry, because they give you a lot of food. Apps, salad, pasta and main courses were all wonderful. Great service and a great view of the harbor. Not sure if it is open to the public, but if it is, check it out.”

“Date: 8/9/24 Wanted pasta and wanted to try something new. My friend and I ordered the linguine Fra Diavolo with sea food and the sauce was amazing! Sea food tasted fresh. Also ordered the hangar steak chimmichurra and it’s delish! ! The salad that comes with it was fresh and had strawberries and blueberries! So good. Great happy hour red sangria and super friendly staff. Had a Quattro leche cake slice. Who knew? I thought you stop at three! Caramel sauce and fluffy. Yum. Go! Oh and so reasonably priced for what you get with large open seating and good acoustics.”
