About Teff

Teff is a family-owned restaurant that serves authentic and flavorful Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine. Known for its unique flavors and freshness, the restaurant has developed a loyal following, with customers praising the perfect balance of spices and flavors. The recent move to a new downtown Stamford location makes it a more convenient choice for diners. The clean, warm design of the new place features a lovely jungle motif, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is consistently friendly, kind, and respectful. Standout dishes include the tumtumo, shiro, and the popular doro wat, while the injera is always freshly made and slightly tart. Diners enjoy generous portions that leave them feeling full, and the restaurant offers many delicious vegetarian options, clearly marked for easy selection. With its consistency and quality, Teff continues to impress both new and returning customers. It is highly recommended for anyone who enjoys Ethiopian or Eritrean food, but it can get packed, so coming early is advised.

absolutely delicious, and wonderful service too. highly recommend!

Really enjoyed Teff's Vegan Combo and a few different appetizers. Ful appetizer was neat as I've never had injera chips like that before (lightly fried). Great for dipping. Sambusa was delicious and filling. All in all highly recommended. Nice, chill vibes inside and friendly and attentive...read full review
