“Actually Haitian restaurant now. Very very simple place, very few food choices. No menu. Seems like somebody’s home kitchen. Chef and server don’t speak much English. With the help of a regular customer at the counter, I ordered chicken with sauce and rice to go. Outstanding preparation - meat slowly cooked, falls off the bone, full of flavor, not too spicy and not too salty. Rice cooked to perfection where each kernel is separate, with balance of moisture and body. Simple food, but soooo good! My first time trying Haitian food, and I plan to come back for more:)“

“Meringue in Stamford is hands down one of the most underrated spots in the area. The food is consistently amazing every time I go — especially the wings and burgers, which are always a solid 10/10. Everything comes out fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right.
What really sets the place apart, though, is the atmosphere and the people. The owners are genuinely great individuals who take pride in what they do and really take care of their customers. You can tell they appreciate every person who walks through the door.
It’s a cozy, welcoming spot that deserves a lot more recognition than it gets. Once you go, it’s the kind of place that keeps you coming back“

“I have been at least 5 times. I love eatting rice, salad, beans, and plantains. I have only had the buffet. The food is good and they arrange it nice on a plate and bring it to your table. Many of the employees don't speak English, but we both try really hard and end up at the right place. My boyfriend says "i don't know what they do to the pork, but it is one of the best I have ever tasted."“

“The ladies in the front were very nice welcoming and the food was really good had a great authentic Dominican flavor like eating in New York. I haven't eaten something like this in Norwalk since moving from the Bronx. Castle Hill Ave has some really good restaurants and the flavor from this place can compete“

“Mami's is the only Dominican restaurant in Stamford that I buy food from. They have a wider variety of hot food and a full cold section with salads, pastas and veggies. They always have staple items but every week, they cook something new and delicious. I usually buy takeout but seated dining has been great experiences.“
