“My family's from Peru, and this has been our go-to Peruvian restaurant for years now. The taste is just much more authentic than any other spot in LI that we've found. The seafood dishes in particular are the best. The daily menu special is also a steal at around $15 for a main dish,side and drink.“

“Brasas peru has an amazing atmosphere with good live music and wonderful tasting food. I highly recommend going for the atmosphere and good peruvian food during a date night.

However our server (Roger) was subpar to say the least. Our server forgot one of my food items and only realized when i had called him to the table and did not apologize. Did not check on us after our food had came the first time and did not come to check even after forgetting one of our food items.

There is also an automatic 20% added to checks that i believe should always be explained to guests before dropping a check. When we got our check there was an additional mojito to our check that I did not order. I believe attention to detail is especially important when serving at a location that wants to give an upscale vibe.“

“We popped in for a late lunch on Sunday. The chef came out and took our order, it seems like a family-run business. We ordered the beef soup, pork sandwich, and chaufa. It was a bit warm in the restaurant but that's expected, it was a hot day and the kitchen is near the dining area. The food was outstanding. We didn't even finish our first chaufa before ordering another! And one more to go. The food is fresh and flavorful. I understand the grilled chicken needs an hour to prepare so call ahead. I look forward to trying it next time. I highly recommend this place!“

“Came here tonight with a friend. Giovanni was fabulous. He gave us a few recommendations which was perfect for us as we had never been here before. We shared delicious jalea and had a drink which was more than enough food for us to share. The presentation of the food and drinks were both so beautiful followed by absolutely delicious tasting food. Will definitely be returning.“
