My family's from Peru, and this has been our go-to Peruvian restaurant for years now. The taste is just much more authentic than any other spot in LI that we've found. The seafood dishes in particular are the best. The daily menu special is also a steal at around $15 for a main dish,side and drink.
Came to try this place as I was craving Peruvian food. I would have given it 4 stars but I’m kinda upset with the tip charge for 3 people. They automatically charged a $24 tip on our bill. Now I know places usually charge automatic tip if it’s 5 or more. But also a 25% tip is a bit outrageous too. We weren’t a party of 10. We were only 3 people. First time eating here as wifey wanted Peruvian food. We love jalea and wifey loves ceviche. Got both with some tostones and two glasses of sangria. Food was great. She absolutely loved the ceviche and the jalea was pretty tasty. The sangria did its job and I got a lil buzz from it.
