House of Dosas Reviews
Best dosas on LI but prices have gone up a LOT! $9 for a 12oz mango lassi??! Sucks bc we can’t go as often as we used to. 3 kids and me was $100 with tip! Food is always delicious tho, especially the thali lunch.
We went for dinner. Ordered onion rava dosa, sambar vada, paneer rice.. the chutneys were amazing. Sambar too tasted excellent. We really enjoyed dining at house of dosas. Good for vegetarian people.
The food is always great here!

The House of Dosas is a welcoming restaurant that offers a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a night out. The menu boasts a variety of delicious South Indian dishes, including the popular "Onion Rava Masala Dosa", "Vada Sambhar", and "Bhel" as appetizers. The "Sada Masala Dosa" and "Cheese Pondicherry Dosa" are highly recommended, packed with flavor and served hot and fresh. Customers particularly enjoy the specialty dosas, such as the moong and ragi, which are considered excellent. The restaurant also offers a range of chutneys, including coconut and spicy coconut, that complement the dishes perfectly. To complete the meal, trying their "Kulfi" and "Badam Halwa" for dessert is a must. The attached ethnic store adds to the overall experience, and the kid-friendly environment makes it an ideal spot for families.
The food is delicious and flavorful, with perfect portions. The service is fast and friendly, with exceptional kindness shown by the staff. The dosas are considered the best, even compared to those in India. Customers recommend the Pondicherry dosa, mango lassi, and various other options like the Medhu Vada Dosa's Thali and Poori Masala, all fresh and made to order. The restaurant is also noted for its gluten-free options and the ability to order dishes that are not overly spicy, yet still packed with flavor. Overall, it is a go-to spot for authentic Indian food in NYC, with a comfortable surrounding and great prices.
