“Whenever I had a craving for south indian food in long island, I used to frequent Taste of Chennai, i.e. until I discovered this place Village - The Soul of India. This is by far the best south indian restaurant in long island. Their pani puris are killer. The dosas, idlis chutneys and sambars reminded me of what I had tasted back in India. Everything tasted fresh too. The service was good and prompt. We were lucky to get in right before the dinner rush hour where we saw large groups having to wait for a table.

For those who are not familiar with south indian food: their menu is either completely vegetarian (as in this case) or largely vegetarian and 100's of options to choose from.

This place is a must try!
We got mysore masala dosa, mushroom dosa, idlis, pani puris, chennai thali and masala chai. Everything tasted great!”

“The perfect family compromise with amazing food! Our family is always divided when ordering dinner—half of us want Chinese food and the other half craves Japanese. Sakana is our absolute savior because they do both incredibly well. It makes ordering stress-free, and everyone always gets exactly what they want. What I appreciate most is how homemade, fresh, and authentic everything tastes. No unnecessary artificial colors in the tandoori dishes or curries, just simple, flavorful food that feels like a home-cooked meal. Oh my God, it’s so refreshing to find a restaurant that serves Indian food this way!

“As a former executive chef, and hospitality professional I’ve learned to manage expectations in fast casual restaurants. Well, to my surprise, Burger Village exceeded all expectations . Arriving for a movie 90 minutes early gave us time to find a place to eat. I had reviewed the few options and Burger Villages natural menu seemed like a great choice. We were greeted (by one of the owners) and promptly met with a smiling server. Drinks, yes. Natural coke, iced tea. Then dinner. One turkey burger with sweet potato fries and one specialty burger with their house sauce and my favorite waffle fries. Both arrived hot and the burger juicy. Both cooked exactly as requested. My medium rare was perfect. Unfortunately, I didn’t anticipate the “heat” or spice of the sauce. Pria, the owner asked if everything was okay. This was a good sign. I mentioned the heat and she insisted on remaking the burger without the sauce asap. She said - “I want you to have a great experience “ wow - in all my years of coaching hospitality professionals I rarely saw this level of care and concern flow so organically. Bravo - we ate, we paid, we promised to come back. A perfect example of owners who care, a team to responded to a challenge and a process at work to overcome challenges. 10 out of 10. “This is by far the best Chinese place I’ve been to in years! I drive 30 minutes to get here because the food is so good. My kids agree. Everything is freshly prepared and the portions are huge. What a great place! Tonight we ordered sesame tofu and shrimp mei fun. Omg! Delicious. Tofu was crispy and freshly sauteed, shrimp were perfectly cooked. Very low key vibe here, relaxed and super casual.”

I am so happy they have finally brought back their LUNCH BUFFET!!! They did it in such a way that no one else does, they have the buffet table set up & bring out tandoori chicken as well as other dishes FRESH to your table as much as you want so these dishes don’t become dried out or soggy!! ALSO, they change different dishes every day, so we usually go twice a week & it’s always fresh!!! The staff is super friendly & makes us always welcome! They even have their buffet on weekends! They are closed on Tuesday. In case I haven’t said enough, WE LOVE KIRAN PALACE!!!”

Ordered 1/2 $ appetizers (10pm on).
- Chicken nuggets (Asian flavor)
- Chicken quesadilla

Nuggets were fine. Accompanying Ranch dressing was disappointing, so waitress brought me blue cheese dressing (better!)

Lost a star on the Quesadilla as the IRL version looked so unlike their advertised version. Will add photos for difference. Forgot to take IRL photo upon it/their arrivals, but you can definitely see the lack of advertised components.
Flavor was tasty, but lack of innards meant less filling, so I wound up ordering a second Quesadilla. (Though I took >50% home)

I originally went to pickup a togoodtogo order and ended up placing a second order because everything just looked so good. Everything I got in the togoodtogo order was amazing and it was a nice variety it had a bag of goldfish as an extra treat which my kids enjoyed. There was even a handwritten note thanking me for my order which was so sweet and I felt appreciated. The bubble teas were fresh and flavorful and a great value for the price. The food was delicious. What I liked the most about the food was that it was not as oily as other Indian places.
The only complaint is that it is not a sit down restaurant. It is small and dark inside so I do not recommend bringing friends and parties to eat at the establishment which is a bummer but food wise it’s great!!!”

We reserved a table for Valentines Day and had a wonderful meal consisting of crab cakes, fried shrimp, French fries, vegetables and, for dessert, fresh homemade strawberry shortcake – reservations are rarely needed! “I don't want to be negative, but I ordered the Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso, which I've had several times but not at this location. From my reaction I can only conclude that they put Chili powder on top of the cinnamon. While everything spicy is popular now, it has only made me realize that I'm very allergic to peppers. I couldn't breathe and while I'm gasping for air the cinnamon was going down my throat and drying it out more. Peppers also aggravate my hiatal hernia so I feel like there is a knife in my back and there is nothing I can do to stop the pain. Please, people have allergies, people have asthma, if I did not order anything spicy, please do not put something on my drink that isn't part of the recipe.”

Also have to shout out how clean the place was, including the bathrooms. The aesthetics are really nice too. The booth seating is a cute touch and makes it a comfortable spot to actually sit and eat.

The menu has a choice of Bowls and wraps with fresh ingredients and pita in the side.
The food here was tasty, plentiful and unlimited fountain drinks. Prices were very reasonable, the ordering process is set up like many casual ordering restaurants. Pick your proteins, toppings etc.
We all liked the restaurant and would definitely return and recommend.”

“I was shocked to FINALLY see a Firehouse Subs here on Long Island. It's about time! This is a legendary Sub chain that started in Florida. What makes them different is that they steam their meats in a steamer machine, and it makes for such a good flavor profile. I'm happy to report that what I tasted at this location matches the quality of the original shops down in Florida. I really wish the shop were a standalone and not stuck inside a Bolla Market. They deserve better. Try their Hook & Ladder. It's the best.”
