“A very excellent experience. Had my B'day dinner here with friend and his son. Nothing could have been better, the owners and staff helped us order and our food was novel and superb, and they guided us to the right choices. Afghani Delight Chicken and Achari Chicken were both fantastic with the Naan and also with the rice (which he gave us an order for free when he thought it looked like we needed it.) “Tried taste of Mumbai for the first time and we were not disappointed. Service was friendly and accommodating. Our food was ready in the promised time unlike some other Indian restaurants. The food was delicious. What I liked the most about the food was that it was not as oily as other Indian places.
The only complaint is that it is not a sit down restaurant. It is small and dark inside so I do not recommend bringing friends and parties to eat at the establishment which is a bummer but food wise it’s great!!!“

“Whenever I had a craving for south indian food in long island, I used to frequent Taste of Chennai, i.e. until I discovered this place Village - The Soul of India. This is by far the best south indian restaurant in long island. Their pani puris are killer. The dosas, idlis chutneys and sambars reminded me of what I had tasted back in India. Everything tasted fresh too. The service was good and prompt. We were lucky to get in right before the dinner rush hour where we saw large groups having to wait for a table.

For those who are not familiar with south indian food: their menu is either completely vegetarian (as in this case) or largely vegetarian and 100's of options to choose from.

I am so happy they have finally brought back their LUNCH BUFFET!!! They did it in such a way that no one else does, they have the buffet table set up & bring out tandoori chicken as well as other dishes FRESH to your table as much as you want so these dishes don’t become dried out or soggy!! ALSO, they change different dishes every day, so we usually go twice a week & it’s always fresh!!! The staff is super friendly & makes us always welcome! They even have their buffet on weekends! They are closed on Tuesday. In case I haven’t said enough, WE LOVE KIRAN PALACE!!!“

“Dinner was amazing! Very flavourful, service was great and the price was reasonable for the service and quality of food. Waiter offered up a different chicken dish than we were originally going to order., the Malai Kabab... it was top shelf, melt in your mouth, marinated chicken at its finest. Traditional Indian food and Thai dishes as well. They sell alcohol, in case there was a doubt. We'd go back anytime!“

“One of my favorite Indian restaurants in the area. Their food is incredible. Love their goa fish curry and goat karahi. Their naan is to die for. Buttery and delicious. Their lunch buffet is also worth trying. Somewhat limited selection, but good enough for me and plenty delicious. Parking is abundant. They also have a full bar. Take out service is also great, the food is always piping hot. Check it out and thank me later :)

Their khir is exceptionally great. This place is great for Large or Small Catering orders. Also, the Price you pay here is much less than other restaurants around here in Hicksville and Nassau County Area. “Hands down one of the best mutton biryanis I’ve tried in Dallas, I was offered it numerous times and declined having my inhibitions that they’re probably hyping up their biryani, I was so wrong!! I got the biryani today and it took me back, way back to the streets of Hyderabad, the biryani is absolutely amazing, the haleem is real good too, would recommend these too along with the double ka meetha if they have it, a must try!!

P.S. a good biryani should be packed with flavor, NOT SOME RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF SPICE TO JUST MAKE IT HOT!
