“My husband and I had such a wonderful experience at KAHANI! From the delicious food to the amazing drinks and exceptional service, everything was fantastic. My only wish is that the restaurant were a little bigger because it’s definitely a place I’d love to spend more time in!

We started with the seasoned, crispy roti-like chips, which were absolutely delicious! We also ordered the chili cheese naan and peshwari naan, both of which were incredible. For our main dishes, we enjoyed the lamb vindaloo, chili paneer, and chicken tikka. Everything was packed with flavor, and the drinks were just as impressive!

The service was quick, attentive, and perfectly timed. A special thank-you to our waitress, Tanveen, who was wonderful throughout our visit! She and the rest of the staff were extremely accommodating and made us feel so welcome.

Overall, we had an amazing evening. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and hospitality made this a memorable experience. We will absolutely be returning and highly recommend KAHANI to anyone looking for delicious food and outstanding service!“

“Had been contemplating to check this restaurant since its inception almost a year ago. At long last, made reservation today at a whim, and couldn’t have been happier!

After I made the reservation, tidbits of chirps did start reaching me, about how expensive the place is and the portion sizes being smallish! One comment however was constant, the food is amazing…

I asked the HusbandMan if he would like me to cancel the reservation, but by then some of the items in the menu (he glanced through online) had him sold and off we went. And boy-oh-boy, my tastebuds had a ball!!!

It is not your run of the mill Desi food at all, it indeed is upscale and exceptional! Every item from the appetizer to the entrees held their uniqueness as we traveled to foodie heaven and back! We were way too full for dessert and sadly had to give it a skip! I am sure their desserts will be as delectable as the rest of the food! I did see them serve dessert in the most artsy way possible in a vase, like two single buds of roses! Well next time! 🤞🏼

The surprise was when the chef/owner Rohit came out to say hello to us! A bright young man from none other but my City of Joy!!!!

“Tried taste of Mumbai for the first time and we were not disappointed. Service was friendly and accommodating. Our food was ready in the promised time unlike some other Indian restaurants. The food was delicious. What I liked the most about the food was that it was not as oily as other Indian places.
The only complaint is that it is not a sit down restaurant. It is small and dark inside so I do not recommend bringing friends and parties to eat at the establishment which is a bummer but food wise it’s great!!!“

“This is definitely some of the best Indian Takeout in the area. There are tables but not the most inviting atmosphere to sit in. The food is and always has been the star here. We use Indian Express for catering as well and the portions and flavors are always on point.“

“Whenever I had a craving for south indian food in long island, I used to frequent Taste of Chennai, i.e. until I discovered this place Village - The Soul of India. This is by far the best south indian restaurant in long island. Their pani puris are killer. The dosas, idlis chutneys and sambars reminded me of what I had tasted back in India. Everything tasted fresh too. The service was good and prompt. We were lucky to get in right before the dinner rush hour where we saw large groups having to wait for a table.

For those who are not familiar with south indian food: their menu is either completely vegetarian (as in this case) or largely vegetarian and 100's of options to choose from.

“I was visiting a friend in Long Island and he suggested Currywala for Indian food. He said it was the best he's had recently.

I agree with his assessment. All the food really was very flavorful. It's like big city fine dining but inside a small local place. I appreciate that. My only suggestion for improvement on the food is that the lamb in the lamb vindaloo was a bit tough and should be more tender.

One recommendation for the GM/owners: look into having your landlord install and offer electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at this center. This is helping restaurants with discoverability and increasing in-store sales as more people drive EVs and look for convenient places to charge.

Such a benefit to be able to charge while dining. A 45-60 minute stop to grab lunch/dinner is a great way to recover 20 miles. And soon you'll be able to build loyalty programs into the chargers.

You're already attracting people today who drive EVs (like me!).

I recommend reaching out to Pangea Charging for EV charging consultations and installations.

Keep it in mind with your landlord before you renew a lease or sign for a new lease when you expand locations!

“We are true Indian FOODIES!! Our whole family loves Indian food. We have tried every Indian restaurant from Long Island & parts of Florida! Kiran Palace is the Best!!!! I am so happy they have finally brought back their LUNCH BUFFET!!! They did it in such a way that no one else does, they have the buffet table set up & bring out tandoori chicken as well as other dishes FRESH to your table as much as you want so these dishes don’t become dried out or soggy!! ALSO, they change different dishes every day, so we usually go twice a week & it’s always fresh!!! The staff is super friendly & makes us always welcome! They even have their buffet on weekends! They are closed on Tuesday. In case I haven’t said enough, WE LOVE KIRAN PALACE!!!“

“One of my favorite Indian restaurants in the area. Their food is incredible. Love their goa fish curry and goat karahi. Their naan is to die for. Buttery and delicious. Their lunch buffet is also worth trying. Somewhat limited selection, but good enough for me and plenty delicious. Parking is abundant. They also have a full bar. Take out service is also great, the food is always piping hot. Check it out and thank me later :)

“Hands down one of the best mutton biryanis I’ve tried in Dallas, I was offered it numerous times and declined having my inhibitions that they’re probably hyping up their biryani, I was so wrong!! I got the biryani today and it took me back, way back to the streets of Hyderabad, the biryani is absolutely amazing, the haleem is real good too, would recommend these too along with the double ka meetha if they have it, a must try!!

P.S. a good biryani should be packed with flavor, NOT SOME RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF SPICE TO JUST MAKE IT HOT!

“I've been meaning to write a 5 star review for this place for a while! 😋
My family and I have loved getting from this place for YEARS. It is small, but it is a hidden gem! The samosas, shaami kabab, zinger burger, chili chicken, and butter chicken are our favorites, they are SO delicious!! Like literally, we think you guys have the best samosas & shaami kababs out of anyone on Long Island we've tried. And oh my goodness I can't forget, the fries that comes with the burgers are actually really good too!
Also I'd say the prices are fair for this day and age.

Listen, sometimes I get a little creeped out by the space, but I think these people try their best. I definitely recommend this place :)
