I agree with his assessment. All the food really was very flavorful. It's like big city fine dining but inside a small local place. I appreciate that. My only suggestion for improvement on the food is that the lamb in the lamb vindaloo was a bit tough and should be more tender.

One recommendation for the GM/owners: look into having your landlord install and offer electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at this center. This is helping restaurants with discoverability and increasing in-store sales as more people drive EVs and look for convenient places to charge.

Such a benefit to be able to charge while dining. A 45-60 minute stop to grab lunch/dinner is a great way to recover 20 miles. And soon you'll be able to build loyalty programs into the chargers.

You're already attracting people today who drive EVs (like me!).

I recommend reaching out to Pangea Charging for EV charging consultations and installations.

Keep it in mind with your landlord before you renew a lease or sign for a new lease when you expand locations!

“I recently stopped at Maya Grill for lunch for the first time, and I was incredibly impressed by the wonderful experience.

The decor was warm, inviting, and very clean, and the staff was friendly and polite. The authentic Indian music playing in the background completed the fabulous atmosphere.

For my meal, I ordered the Maya Dal Makhani with white basmati rice and naan bread, followed by the Pista Kulfi for dessert. The food arrived fresh and delicious, with filling portions and an exceptional level of flavor. The dessert was equally wonderful—creamy and perfectly prepared.

The staff truly enhanced the experience; it was clear that the gentleman I spoke with is deeply passionate about the food served at the restaurant.

I will highly recommend Maya Grill to anyone looking for fresh, high-quality Indian cuisine, a wonderful staff, and a great atmosphere.

The menu is all Indian with lots of non-veg and vegetarian options. They offered to customize anything on the menu we wished for and made food without onion garlic for me. The food was very fresh and tasty. We ordered Alleppey fish curry and Palak Paneer with Kerala Poratta. Rice was complimentary.

“My best friend lives in Queens so she and I come to the Onion Tree every other Friday night. I wish this place was closer to me. I live in Yonkers. The food is superb, seasoned extraordinarily. The chicken is fresh, soft and cut into small bites. I always order chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, or chicken tikka pizza. I have never had food that I enjoyed this much and I have tried all foods all over the world. I never get tired of this place. And the food is served quickly and piping hot. Nothing could have been better, the owners and staff helped us order and our food was novel and superb, and they guided us to the right choices. “Had been contemplating to check this restaurant since its inception almost a year ago. At long last, made reservation today at a whim, and couldn’t have been happier!

After I made the reservation, tidbits of chirps did start reaching me, about how expensive the place is and the portion sizes being smallish! One comment however was constant, the food is amazing…

I asked the HusbandMan if he would like me to cancel the reservation, but by then some of the items in the menu (he glanced through online) had him sold and off we went. And boy-oh-boy, my tastebuds had a ball!!!

It is not your run of the mill Desi food at all, it indeed is upscale and exceptional! Every item from the appetizer to the entrees held their uniqueness as we traveled to foodie heaven and back! We were way too full for dessert and sadly had to give it a skip! I am sure their desserts will be as delectable as the rest of the food! “Whenever I had a craving for south indian food in long island, I used to frequent Taste of Chennai, i.e. until I discovered this place Village - The Soul of India. This is by far the best south indian restaurant in long island. Their pani puris are killer. The dosas, idlis chutneys and sambars reminded me of what I had tasted back in India. Everything tasted fresh too. The service was good and prompt. We were lucky to get in right before the dinner rush hour where we saw large groups having to wait for a table.

For those who are not familiar with south indian food: their menu is either completely vegetarian (as in this case) or largely vegetarian and 100's of options to choose from.

The food was delicious. What I liked the most about the food was that it was not as oily as other Indian places.
The only complaint is that it is not a sit down restaurant. It is small and dark inside so I do not recommend bringing friends and parties to eat at the establishment which is a bummer but food wise it’s great!!!“

I am so happy they have finally brought back their LUNCH BUFFET!!! They did it in such a way that no one else does, they have the buffet table set up & bring out tandoori chicken as well as other dishes FRESH to your table as much as you want so these dishes don’t become dried out or soggy!! My family and I have loved getting from this place for YEARS. It is small, but it is a hidden gem! The samosas, shaami kabab, zinger burger, chili chicken, and butter chicken are our favorites, they are SO delicious!! Like literally, we think you guys have the best samosas & shaami kababs out of anyone on Long Island we've tried. And oh my goodness I can't forget, the fries that comes with the burgers are actually really good too!
Also I'd say the prices are fair for this day and age.

Listen, sometimes I get a little creeped out by the space, but I think these people try their best. I definitely recommend this place :)

“Hands down one of the best mutton biryanis I’ve tried in Dallas, I was offered it numerous times and declined having my inhibitions that they’re probably hyping up their biryani, I was so wrong!! I got the biryani today and it took me back, way back to the streets of Hyderabad, the biryani is absolutely amazing, the haleem is real good too, would recommend these too along with the double ka meetha if they have it, a must try!!

P.S. a good biryani should be packed with flavor, NOT SOME RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF SPICE TO JUST MAKE IT HOT!
