When the staff learned that we were celebrating a birthday luncheon, they kindly paused the music during our cake cutting and even played the "Happy Birthday" song on the big screen. “Whenever I had a craving for south indian food in long island, I used to frequent Taste of Chennai, i.e. until I discovered this place Village - The Soul of India. This is by far the best south indian restaurant in long island. Their pani puris are killer. The dosas, idlis chutneys and sambars reminded me of what I had tasted back in India. Everything tasted fresh too. The service was good and prompt. We were lucky to get in right before the dinner rush hour where we saw large groups having to wait for a table.

For those who are not familiar with south indian food: their menu is either completely vegetarian (as in this case) or largely vegetarian and 100's of options to choose from.

I am so happy they have finally brought back their LUNCH BUFFET!!! They did it in such a way that no one else does, they have the buffet table set up & bring out tandoori chicken as well as other dishes FRESH to your table as much as you want so these dishes don’t become dried out or soggy!! “We recently hosted my son’s birthday party at A Nest Indian Cuisine, and it was a wonderful experience.The food was outstanding—everyone especially loved the appetizers including Mixed Grill, Amritsari Fish Fry, Bagara Paneer, Lasuni Gobhi and Veggie Noodles.

For the main course, the highlights were Pindi Chole, Chicken Curry, Kadai Paneer, and Yellow Dal Tadka. Their Malai Naan is a must try .The drinks like Mango Lassi, Jalzeera and Mango Tango were also a big hit. We finished with delicious Gulab Jamun for dessert, which everyone enjoyed.

“Taste of Mumbai is unbelievably good. I've ordered takeout from them 1-2x per month for the last two years and I have NEVER had a meal that I would rate less than an A-. I'm just in awe of how good the food is every single time, and whenever I try something new on the menu I find something else that I love, to the point where now it takes me forever to decide what to order because there are so many amazing options! A few of my favorites are the Methi curry, Green Masala curry, Baigon Bhartha, and onion kulcha. The only downside so far has been that I wish there was more flexibility with spice levels as my wife has a low tolerance and is limited to specific dishes that are naturally very mild.
Overall, Taste of Mumbai has become one of my favorite restaurants and I cannot recommend them any higher.“

The chole bhature was flavorful, fresh, and the bhaturas were perfectly fluffy with a nice crisp on the outside. Portions were generous and the taste felt very close to what you’d get in Delhi.

The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the service was a little slow during peak time and seating can feel a bit crowded. “I recently stopped at Maya Grill for lunch for the first time, and I was incredibly impressed by the wonderful experience.

The decor was warm, inviting, and very clean, and the staff was friendly and polite. The authentic Indian music playing in the background completed the fabulous atmosphere.

For my meal, I ordered the Maya Dal Makhani with white basmati rice and naan bread, followed by the Pista Kulfi for dessert. The food arrived fresh and delicious, with filling portions and an exceptional level of flavor. The dessert was equally wonderful—creamy and perfectly prepared.

The staff truly enhanced the experience; it was clear that the gentleman I spoke with is deeply passionate about the food served at the restaurant.

I will highly recommend Maya Grill to anyone looking for fresh, high-quality Indian cuisine, a wonderful staff, and a great atmosphere.
