“I ordered some chickens and sides last Sunday. Food was good except the sweet potato fries that was overcooked. The original extra crispy chicken was 5/5. It was good with mild Sweet and spicy sauce on the side. The soy garlic wings was 3.5/5. It is because wings were too small. The chicken thighs was 4/5. I didn't like that chicken thighs were chopped in small pieces. Also, extra crispy breading would've been better than the original breading.French fries 5/5, mochi cheese donuts 5/5, Onion rings 5/5, Sweet potato fries 2/5.Overall, I would definitely reorder from the Pelicana, Plainview for sure. Hope they do better on Sweet potatoes fries next time.”

“I have been coming here for months now, and the food always hits. There are plenty of varieties to chose from and no matter which one it is, it always tastes great. The only complaint I have through, is that the service is quite slow, and usually this isn't a problem, but at times it can be quite bothersome if I'm in a rush and it's taking too long. Otherwise, this place is great! The staff are very nice and the atmosphere is quite nostalgicParking: So many spaces.”

“I've been to two separate MFC restaurants in Queens and neither of them could compare to this place. The service was pretty fast and very good, with someone who I believe to be the manager/owner even coming around to ask us if we needed anything. In typical MFC fashion, the food was delicious. The soy garlic boneless tenders and spicy wings are out of this world, and the Parmesan truffle fries were good too. The prices for the food aren't even bad either, I can't think of a single thing wrong with this particular chain. The Plainview location is my new spot, and I'll gladly make the 25 mile trek from Queens to eat here rather than at Forest Hills.Sidenote: I believe they're having some sort of anniversary celebration on 3/1/24. If you're reading this before the date passes, definitely check it out.”

“Love this place. I live right across the street. I'm in love with their grandma's pizza. The food is delicious. Shrimp scampi is my favorite. And their garlic knots are so garlicky. I usually get a dozen and eat them all myself in way under 2 days. It is my go to place for pizza and pasta. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.”

“I had my daughter’s first birthday party at the Social Play Haus and it was PERFECT!! We had the 3 hour catered event with over 50 adults and 10 children of all ages. Everyone had such a great time! We received so many compliments on the atmosphere and food, and the best part is that Marc and team thought of every single detail to make it so easy for us!! From the amazing decor matching my Pinterest vision to ordering the cake and even having a signature drink, they truly made the planning and execution so easy. I would HIGHLY recommend the Social Play Haus for anyone planning future events - you are in great hands here!”

“The best part of my job is I'm on the road a lot. So when I see an opportunity to check out a new restaurant, I take advantage. "Francesco's Pizzeria & Restaurant" seemed like a perfect choice. I pulled up at the small parking lot and was a little surprised, why would you not have the name of the restaurant on top of the building. It was displayed on the glass, I figured they wanted to stand out. The look of the façade definitely gave it the right attention. Heading inside the place was well kept. You see they are about presentation. I loved the modern look. Heading to the counter, you see they were about a good time. Two gentlemen in the back help right away, but not before we joked about something on the television. After the laughter, I placed my order. It got tossed in and came out hot. I grabbed a seat and looked over my meal. It looked pretty standard as pizza goes. The cheesy bread was my favorite. It tasted great and they gave me a sauce to dip them in. The pizza, while good, wasn't great. Let me start by saying, the chicken on top was delicious! I give credit, where credit is due, however, the crust was a bit stale. Maybe I got yesterday's slice, but that how it was. It had great flavor and I would have truly loved it, if not for that hiccup. I mean, the place is good enough to go back, I mean, I loved the cheesy bread. I just need to catch them in a better day, hopefully to get a fresher slice.”

“Stopped by here today for the first time, had the steak sandwich and some of the empanadas which was a special for the day Guy working the truck counter was friendly and accommodating (had a small dietary preference) Steak sandwich was top notch, made a bit different with chunkier slices of steak that have more of a bite than usual. Will definitely get more of these! Empanadas were also surprisingly good. Since Ive only been once i can only speak to my small experience and menu choice, but already plan to go again sometime soon.”

“This is SUSHI!! Legit sushi on the island. We came here to celebrate valentine's day and this place did not disappoint. Honestly, only one of the few places on the island that has all the unique high end fishes e.g. Uni, Wagyu. They even have omakase which is impressive. We enjoyed their chef special rolls, BBQ Squid and Cracked Uni Roll. Highly recommend those.”

“This location has a special place in my heart. 1988, I just came back from being stationed overseas and my girl friend (now my wife) says lets have Falafel for lunch. What's Falafel? Back then, the restaurant was called The Promised Land and it was the first time I took a bite of Falafel. Now, I was hooked! Strange that I never had nor heard of Falafel growing up in Brooklyn. Working in NYC was when I saw the different Falafel styles and was introduced to Einat Admonys version at Taim. I was a total fan of her Falafel. And to me, she gets points because she served in the IDF as well as being in Season 3 of Guy Fieri's Tournament of Champions? Shabbat Shalom sister with a fist bump. Which takes me to 2024, Taim Mediterranean Kitchen in Plainview. Walking in just floods me with so many memories. The counterperson says if I join the Taim rewards I can save on my first order so download the app. 1988 doesn't have anything on 2024! Once I downloaded the app, I ordered something simple, The O.G. Falafel Pita made with Harissa (for a little kick) I sit down to a nice, clean location. Brightly colored tables and a jug with some delicious looking lemonade. (Too sugary for me in 2024) My meal is ready. I like the fact that there is both Hummus and Tahini sauce inside the pita. It was a nice sandwich, the pita texture to me was a little off. It was too thick compared to what I'm used to at other falafel joints. Just for a moment, I had lunch back in time. Them I checked my app for the meal credit, I jumped in my Electric Car and headed home. Chicken Shawarma is calling me, I'll be back. (80s reference)”

“This was our first time here. When we entered the place was lively, A friend, my wife and I ate here on Thursday Night, 2/1 during Restaurant Week. The price was $46 per person which included one appetizer, one main course and one dessert. We ordered seafood baked clams and sweet chili fried calamari from the Restaurant Week menu. Our friend ordered the French onion soup from the regular menu. I received 2 large seafood baked clams which had plenty of stuffed seafood. It was delicious and had plenty of seafood and not overly made with breadcrumb. There was plenty of fried calamari to share among the three of us. Sweet chili sauce was slightly sweet but still very tasty. The French onion soup was cheesy an flavorful. We ordered for our main course the Land and Sea combo which is Romanian steak, 2 stuffed shrimp with seafood, garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus, and the Broiled salmon with steamed broccoli and seasoned rice. Our dishes were well presented and served hot.(Sorry. Forgot to take pictures.) We really enjoyed our food. Very tasty and delicious. For dessert, we ordered the creamy cheesecake, oreo crunch ice cream cake and reese's peanut butter pie. Each portion was bigger than expected. The creamy cheesecake lived up to its name. If you like oreo cookies and crunchies then this is the dessert for you. Our friend loved the peanut butter pie. Creamy, plentiful and delicious.Overall, price was reasonable and food was well prepared and delicious. I highly recommend The Main Event in Plainview.Parking: Parking lot surrounds the restaurant. You can enter from the east and west of Old Country Road. There are plenty of spots from which you can choose.”
