“Just have to give a quick shoutout to Hard Bean on Merrick Ave. Victor and his wife Elise opened 10 days ago just north of the train station. My fiancé and I were talking to the owners and learned that opening a coffee shop was Victor’s dream. After working at his previous career for almost 30 years, he retired and opened this place. It’s charming inside and the coffee is delicious and less expensive than *$s. They are literally a mom and pop shop and after spending some time there I wanted to post to support and recommend Hard Bean to all the locals.“

“I was in this morning with my daughter. Bobby helped us at the register…what a wonderful representation of customer service and thoughtfulness. Bobby spent time explaining a menu change, helping me choose a different best option and chatting with my daughter. He even gifted her some Moana stickers! “Love this place , but absolutely insane they close at 5pm. It’s dinner time! It would be one thing if you open early for breakfast, but you don’t open till 10 AM. You’re not open early enough to grab breakfast, and you’re not open late enough to grab dinner .What are you doing !“

“Their teas are so good and refreshing. You can order your tea custom how you like. They have a machine that shakes the drink quite vigorously to mix it well. I tried the Thai milk tea with bubbles and passionfruit green tea with lychee. Both were very good.“
