Recently started working around the corner, all of my co workers love grabbing a coffee here. Chris is so wonderful to all of us and does a great job under pressure working solo. I used to work at a coffee shop myself and I know how hard it can be doing it alone, he does a great job and always kind. Also appreciate the fact he knows exactly how much cream cheese needs to go on a bagel. -extremely important to me- hah. But yes. The remodel is great and the morning bites,coffee and lattes are so helpful for slow sleepy mornings. Cheers ~Kat.

!!Hygiene Alert!!I can’t believe this…. PLEASE CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE EATING. Please read. As I wouldn’t want anyone to go through what I went through today, 11.05.2023.My boyfriend who grew up in new Canaan and has lived there basically most of his life, was excited to take me to the CT muffin place. We get there and ordered a blueberry muffin, a latte, orange juice and a toasted bagel (with scallion cream cheese, and smoked salmon).We sat inside to eat. After a moment, I do not know what made me look at my food. I literally spotted two pieces of scallion with dirt inside. I told my boyfriend to take a look as I didn’t want to believe they didn’t take any hygienic measures when preparing my food. I took my sandwich to the young man who served us. He showed no remorse whatsoever. And tells me “oh it must be bread inside your scallions”. I told him I cook everyday and have been for years, and I use scallions. I KNOW WHAT AN UNWASHED RAW SCALLION LOOKS LIKE. that dirt was brown and sandy. There is no way bread got on the inside of a raw fresh scallion and stuck onto the leave the way it did. You just DID NOT WASH YOUR PRODUCE prior to prepping my food. The young man did not even feel sorry for a bit. I told him I couldn’t finish the rest of my sandwich as I have a weak health and I am scared of getting sick. He just pointed in the direction of the trash for me to go throw it out. Never did he express he was sorry, nor did he even offer taking the rest of the food from me to throw it out or find a solution.He was on FaceTime with two people when we walked in and went back to talking to those people. very NASTY.If I were someone who doesn’t regularly cook and shop for produces myself, I would have probably believed him and would have kept eating a unhygienic food.The customer service was the RUDEST I have ever experienced. My boyfriend let me know that growing up in New Canaan there used to be two older people working at the place and they were rather pleasant.Please take care of thoroughly washing your produce before making the food you sell to people. Please take all hygienic measures to make sure you do not get the people who come to buy your food sick.

These are the worst muffins in the history of muffins. And perhaps the most amazing surprise is that Connecticut Muffin does not even make its own muffins - they buy them from Neri's Bakery Products in Port Chester...all they do is unpack the box. So they are cold, bland and not particularly fresh. In response to the business owner's reply - it was not me with whom you spoke this morning and I saw for myself that the muffins arrived this morning in a sealed box from Neri's of Port Chester. No chance you baked them yourself in Brooklyn. My facts are perfectly straight, hot and fresh... unlike your store bought muffins. BTW, I suspect the Allyssa M review that was coincidentally posted one hour after I wrote my review was written by Connecticut Muffin. I suggest they bake more and write less.

I am so shocked and disappointed with their service lately. I’ve been a customer for years and in the beginning everything was great but in the past few months I’ve been treated terribly and their customer service has dropped unbelievably far below standard. In at least the past 6 months, every single time I’ve placed an order it was either done incorrectly (meaning I received a completely different item than the one I ordered) and I’ve had to pay twice sometimes three times in one day just to get my correct order! They make ME pay for THEIR mistake! Which was fine the first few times but it’s gotten to the point where it’s just ridiculous, so I’ve stayed away. However, today I gave them another chance because, when done correctly, their stuff is really delicious. My favorite is the iced Almond Chai lattes (which are definitely still on their menu) yet somehow today my order was just canceled. No explanation, no detail just canceled. I’m just disgusted and frankly all of this just feels like a slap in the face to a loyal customer.

First time in Connecticut Muffin NC and the Ham and Turkey Panini was delicious, the fresh orange juice - excellent. My friend order chicken salad and iced chai latte (very good) . We also got some pastries to go. Definitely we’ll be back.

I love how pretty it is inside, it almost feels like you aren't in New Canaan.. in a good way :) The staff is also very kind. p.s. they make the best chai teaKid-friendliness: Lots of beautiful places to sit, two televisions, and full view of food at a low enough level for kids ordering.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

I may have gone on a bad day, but I ordered two small minestrone soups to go and they were luke warm. Soup was watered down as it had no flavor. One container had all pasta and little vegies, while the othet container had no pasta and little vegies. The ham and cheese sandwich I ordered on sourdough bread had nothing other than just ham and cheese, no condiments, lettuce and/or tomato were offered by the staff. The two hot chocolates that I also ordered were more like chocolate milks. Worst lunch me and my coworker ever had for $34.00 dollars. For a town like New Canaan they need to do better.

I ordered a flat white and was a disappointment. Coffee was watered down even though 2 shots were put in it (I noticed not a lot of coffee went into the portafilter and it wasn’t packed properly - which makes for a very weak brew). Quite unhappy with the product.

Apparently an $8 bacon egg and cheese and a $7 BLT is supposed to be burnt to a crisp and only half bacon on the BLT. No care at all for food quality.
