From the moment you walk through the twinkling archway, and are warmly greeted, this is a first class dining experience. The Humboldt Fog goats cheese with mushrooms and shallots on toast is our go-to app. Do not visit without trying the Crab Bisque - it so delicious that we ended up ordering a couple of quarts to go. A special on the menu was the Duck Quesadilla with cherries and I am already craving it again. My husband's steak was delicious. We always forget to take any pictures because we are too busy devouring the food. I wish they would go on Opentable or Resy, but even calling them up to make a reservation is old school charming, just like Chef Robert and Lucia.

Lovely little space tucked away in New Canaan. Very fresh, locally sourced food!
We walked in early on a Saturday evening to see if they had a table for 4 (after the restaurant we had originally booked looked grim...) and were immediately greeted with warmth and professionalism. They offered to create a 4 top for us in a quiet corner and whisked us to the table. The service and food that followed were both terrific. A great lesson in hospitality. Make people feel welcome and feed them terrific, straight forward food with attentive but not overbearing service and reasonable prices!
Celebrated a friend’s birthday here this week and the experience could not have been better. The hostess was friendly, willing to switch our table, accept an outside birthday cake and asked the staff to sing to my friend. All after half of our party showed up 45 minutes late! And the food was spectacular. So hearty, flavorful and healthy.

We've been going for years and the food has always been great, this week's lamp chop special has prompted another 5 star review. Their food is always just so good: the vegetables are incredibly fresh, portions are more than ample, and their red meat and fish dinners are uniformly excellent. As noted the lamp chop special was superb, their NY Strip is also a great treat when offered and their sesame tuna salad is a great change of pace. Great value for the quality. Highly recommended, go and enjoy.

We hadn't made a reservation but Lucia was super accommodating. We love eating here as it has a bustling vibe, like a New York bistro. Food, as always outstanding and atmosphere first class. Cannot wait to return.
