Service isn’t as good since they changed ownership. My kids love the mango chicken, and I like the chicken in curry sauce. The sushi is solid but not spectacular.

We went for lunch and tried the $10 lunch Bento Box special. It contained a four pieces California roll, a small green leaf salad, miso soup, two dumplings, and I special ordered a chicken and broccoli in a white garlic sauce. We also ordered an extra rice bowl for $1. Green tea came with the meal. All the food was very fresh and tasty. Portion sides are suitable for a lunch. The staff was very friendly and helpful and amenable to any special requests. The restaurant v is very clean and suitable for a night out with friends or family. I can highly recommend it.

Hunan Taste on Elm Street in New Canann has excellent sesame chicken with the same delicious hot spicy sauce as the General Tso's chicken, a house specialty. The spring rolls are a delicious appetizer especially with dumplings and shrimp toast on the side. From hot and spicy peanut sauce to mild Cantonese entrees, the food at Hunan Taste is rich and varied. Try their sushi bar located behind the tables it's absolutely delicious. A quiet atmosphere with friendly service makes this downtown bistro an excellent choice for lunch and dinner. Enjoy the restaurant you'll be sure to return to this reasonably priced downtown bistro.
