Could you update your service hours on your street sign and internet? We went today Sunday 3:30 pm, we saw your personal inside but the door was closed. If we would know we had have gone to the one in Greenwich, they are always open.

I’m never one to leave poor reviews, but I’ve been coming here for years and the quality of food and service has gone down so much it’s extremely upsetting. Came in a week ago and it took 20 minutes for us to get waited on, food had been sitting out for so long before we got it, so we had to eat cold food, and aside from that, I’m a regular on ubereats for breakfast and my order has been consistently messed up every time, and the last time was today. The entire order was wrong. It’s beginning to seem intentional because there’s no way you can make major mistakes like that SO FREQUENTLY. So disappointed. So upset. Have so many friends that would agree. What’s going on here!

Got the French cream donut and was not super impressed. The donut was stale. We went at the end of the day so it had probably been sitting out all day. The cream was tasty but overall wasn't amazed. They were also giving out free mini muffins since it was the end of the day. Blueberry and pumpkin. They also were kind of stale and not amazing. I'd recommend getting pastries in the morning. Nice restaurant and good vibes inside. Nice worker as well.

Waited close to a hour before our order was taken. Avoid this place. Staff unresponsive.

Many accolades go out to General Manager, Darien Jensen and his wait staff at the Le Pain Quotidien in New Canaan, CT, at 81 Elm St. I worked with Darien, the corporate Marketing Department and his staff in planning and executing a surprise 90th Birthday Brunch Celebration for my 90 year old Aunt and Uncle of New Canaan. We were a group of 20 relatives and friends from Connecticut, New York, Florida and as far away as the West Coast who have not seen each other in many years. What a joy and surprise for my Aunt and Uncle when they entered the restaurant to see so many dear family members and friends. There was great communication between Darien and myself over several months of planning the many details of this event. Details such as location and table set up; the baskets of the absolutely delicious muffins and pastries to start off the group; the selections of brunch items for the group and many other details. The marketing department created a menu of my chosen selections, headed and entitled with my celebrations theme and printed 20 up just for us! Extra attention from the wait staff was given from start to finish. All my guests were very pleased and happy with the menu choices and the quality and amount of the food. And I was very excited about the total cost of this delicious brunch which was very reasonable for 20 participants. I researched several other New Canaan restaurants: many cost much more per person, had minimums or were inflexible. I am so very happy that I selected Le Pain Quotidian for this birthday surprise for my aunt and uncle. After all, reaching 90 years of age is a definite reason to celebrate !

Unfortunately, love this brand everywhere but this experience today was unacceptable. We waited more than 45 minutes for 2 coffees and avocado toast , which came wrong first time because I was waiting on gluten free toast. Hope they get better!

Apparently you can't change the seats even for a few minutes at this branch - otherwise you will be given harsh instructions to go back to your seat NOW -This is what i experienced when i moved from one seat to another. I was sitting next to a couple - They were talking - I had to attend online meeting - so for a few minutes i changed my seat - so that i can take my meeting peacefully - however, as soon as i changed it - server came to me interrupted me in the middle of the meeting and said to go back to the seat - i told him repeatedly that i am in the meeting - give me five minutes - but he didn't listen to it - even though he can clearly see that i was in the meeting - he again said go back to your seat now - Second time - like what? somehow i completed my meeting with rage and totally divided attention - Never have i ever seen this kind of behavior at any restaurant - let alone int'l chain restaurant - Never going back to this location again - beware - read other reviews as well - mostly related to staff inadequate knowledge about the food or rude behavior or worst service. However, at the end their manager came in and apologized and said can i get you anything or what? He was trying to say take the food for free - its on us - however, i wasn't there for free food - People don't go there for free food - people need respect when they do business with you - they don't need free food - Give respect and you will never have to offer free food.

I tried the buckwheat banana bread- phenomenal. So was the noir spread, which seems healthier than store bought chocolate sauce options- And it tastes amazing. Fat content was relatively low too. The sourdough bread is always excellent.
