Worst diner I have been to!! Considering the downtown location this diner is useless!! All the items we tried were tasteless.

Had to ask for a menu, only a couple people on the staff spoke English, the corned beef was unbeatable so tough, the scrambled eggs were dry and overcooked, the sausages were burnt and the english muffin was over toasted and hard... asked for milk for my tea, was brought honey, ask a different waitress for milk for my tea, she brought a child's cup of milk with a top and a straw... wow
Won't be back

Sat down in a relatively empty restaurant, the staff was friendly placed our order 2 sodas, 2 orders of mozzarella sticks, chicken and waffles and a gyro with fries, the mozzarella sticks were a 2.5/5 the cheese was on the raw side, the chicken and waffles were good 4/5, the fries showed up but the gyro never showed up our waitress said I never ordered it when I actually repeated myself 3 times when I ordered it cause the waitress was having trouble understanding, staff never checked on us we kept having to get there attention, ended up with a $65 bill for 2 sodas, 2 orders of Mozzarella sticks, fries and chicken and waffles, food quality is not worth the prices and the staff does not care would not recommend

A bit pricey but very nice
Nice folks, pleasant atmosphere. Mediocre food. But! One hamburger, one BLT, two meh milkshakes. $50.00??????? Kind of an outrage. Never returning.
They don’t ask — they expect a tip. 22%, 25%, or 30% only. No lower option. No way to decline. Didn’t even let me choose, just hit a button and handed it back. I’m literally a teenager.

Me and my friends came here after school. When it was time to pay, they just clicked the screen themselves. Tips started at 22% — no “no tip” button or custom amount. We’re all minors and didn’t even get a chance to say anything.

Went to New Canaan Diner and when I went to pay, they didn’t even turn the screen to me. Only options were 22%, 25%, or 30% tip. No way to skip or do custom. I’m a kid — it felt super forced.

Food was really good but what definitely stood out for me was the Nutella roll up pancakes. They were the best I've had. Filled up with lots of Nutella and so delicious
