The Offline IPA is my favorite, refreshing with low alcohol content. The environment is a great place to hang with the family or friends and the food trucks offer a great snack or meal.

This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I've been to Brewery Legitimus many times throughout the years, and it never disappointed me.
The brewery is spacious enough: the indoor space is separated into two rooms, which makes it easy to have a private event. There is a patio opened during warmer months, as well as several tables near the main entrance (a smaller patio). The place does not serve any food, but the food trucks are usually onsite. Also, the taproom, received an upgrade recently and now you can order cocktails from their bar.
The selection of beers is fine, although it is IPA-heavy. But you can also find several other styles on tap - Marzen, Kolsch, Ales, etc. The place not only serves beer flights of 4, but also sells 6oz drafts, so you can try more beers. I've had almost all the beers they sell during past visits (and refreshed them with new releases during the latest visit). The beers are not frequently rotated, so I only saw 6 new beers compared to my visit several months ago. The beers are always solid. It is safe to order any style and be sure that you will have the best quality. I'm not into IPAs, so from their selection I will definitely recommend their Barrel Aged bottles - Lord Dobson's (Imperial Stout) and Maple Girl (Belgian Tripel). Both of those have an immensely reach barrel taste.
This is definitely a good brewery to hang out with your friends and have a decent beer.

Really cool place.. went there for the first time , finally, with my boyfriend last night. Beer was amazing, the wait staff were super friendly and knowledgeable of the varieties on their menu. The place was clean, neat and very inviting with an abundance of space. Definitely coming back.

My husband and I had our wedding reception in Brewery Legitimus' private event space, and I have no words for how amazing it was! Their staff is truly top notch and went above and beyond, everything from helping us with coordination months in advance, to incredible hands on help with set up, clean up, etc, beyond what we even expected. The space itself is so unique and fun and you can personalize it how you like! I do not have enough wonderful things to say about everyone involved on the Brewery Legitimus team, they made our wedding so unique and we could not have imagined it any other way. Our guests commented on how personal the whole event felt, and again how amazing the staff was. If you are looking for a unique, special, professional and fun place to have your next event, look no further!

I rented the larger back room for a recent party. Christina was so helpful in planning the details for my event and the staff the night of the event worked so hard and were so kind to everyone. I highly recommend Legitimus for an event!

Great beer, great bunch of people, great fun. They have activities during the week and all sorts of food trucks. They have an outside beer garden when you don’t want to stay inside. Dog friendly on the outside, unfortunately not dog friendly on the inside. Other breweries are dog friendly as they do not cook food in the facility. Don’t know why Legitimus doesn’t do the same. I took one star off for that.

Wonderful people who've built a great sense of community, but most of all, who brew consistently extraordinarily terrific beer. Stouts, Belgian ales, lagers, Kolsches, IPAs, DIPAs, sours, hard seltzers, and more. Honestly, I've *never* had a bad glass of beer at Brewery Legitimus.

Brewery Legitimus has an amazing staff and craft beer. When the weather agrees the outdoor beer garden is great. Your well mannered dogs can be in the beer garden. Although I would advise if you scan the area and already see 2- 3 dogs already there the space is limited so may want to come back after some have left. The rotating food trucks are a bonus. Check their website under events for expected food truck for the day.

Brewery Legitimus is one of the best breweries I’ve been to in ct. Many beers to choose from. I tried the Counter Surfer brown ale and it was delicious. The bartenders are friendly and the atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. There was a food truck outside too.
