It was a nice place. Went there for a 70th birthday. The party was with about 50 people and it was buffet style. The food was very good. However, I felt rushed. Before the food was ready, I went to the bar to get a drink. I had about a 1/4 of my drink left when we were called to get food. When I came back to my table, my drink was gone. As I was eating, I got back up to grab some more rolls. I came back and the staff took my salad that I didn't even get to eat. We were all eating having a good time but the staff were just hovering over us taking our plates as quickly as they could. I let it slide and not bother me at the time and focused more on celebrating my aunt's birthday and being with family I haven't seen in a while. Overall, it was great time.

Amarante's is a fixture for events like weddings, and other functions. It's a very pretty location right on the water, and is well kept up. The events I have attended there have been quite nice.

Amarante’s was a beautiful space for our sports banquet. It was well decorated and the view of the water was perfect. The staff was very helpful with ideas when we were setting up and when I asked last minute if they could cut and serve the cake during speeches, they did it seamlessly. Food was great too. I would definitely recommend this site for future events.

From the very start, our experience was outstanding. I would highly recommend Amarante's Sea Cliff without hesitation.
Our planning journey began with Dominic, the Office Manager, who deserves special recognition. Dominic was an absolute pleasure to deal with and demonstrated exceptional responsiveness to all my inquiries—and there were many! His professionalism set the perfect tone for the entire process.
On the wedding day, Darlene and Jose were absolutely wonderful. They were incredibly attentive to all of us, ensuring that every detail was managed smoothly and everyone felt cared for throughout the celebration.
The quality of the reception truly exceeded all our expectations. The cocktail hour was truly amazing—it was so extensive and impressive, offering so much more than we ever anticipated. The entrées were delicious, and we received a flood of compliments throughout the evening on how fantastic everything was. Guests were raving about the entire experience, from the beautiful facility itself to the delicious meals, and even the late-night snacks (LOL!).

Amarante's Sea Cliff provides an unmatched level of service and quality. I would absolutely have another function at your venue and sincerely believe it is the BEST venue in Connecticut.

I would share my photo but I ate the meal already. This was the best lobster roll dinner I ate all summer. Full of so much lobster and the bun was perfectly toasted! I’m not a fry eater generally, but they so tasty and perfectly fried. I definitely give them a high five and give stars. The music filled the evening air as well. The Nu Grooves was awesome! Had everyone dancing! Thank you amarantes for another great summer night! 🥰

The grand ballroom was the perfect space overlooking the water and the food?? Beyond delicious!! Every moment down to the details was carefully planned and constructed by my mom, with the hands-on help of Dominic and his incredible staff overseeing from start to finish. The lead server, José, and the whole team we're attentive, helpful and ensured the afternoon went off without a hitch. We're so grateful! If you're looking to plan your next event, make it Amarante's!!

Website and Google says they are open, currently 4pm. We stood there while all these workers just walked by us. I finally asked someone, and she says they don't open until 5. Thanks for poor hours listed and just walking by ignoring us.

Recently we had our 50th Wedding Anniversary at Amarante’s Sea Cliff Inn. The event coordinator, Dominic, walked us through the details of what to expect with each event package. There was never any pressure and he was flexible to our requests. Dominic communicated very well throughout our meetings and follow up questions. He was always cheerful and very easy to talk to. The event took place exactly as Dominic explained. The staff who were present for the event, were courteous and professional, especially hostess Darlene who seemed to be everywhere to assure guests were satisfied. Darlene treated us like a bride and groom, noticing ahead of time, anything we might need. Mary, who tended bar, was noted to have made Excellent drinks while remaining cheerful and friendly. The food was exceptionally prepared and rave reviews of its quality came to us from family and friends. We highly recommend folks to use Amarante’s for their important life events.
