The bartender was very professional. only thing I would change is the wines that they had out on the tables. Everyone that I had asked said they didn't like them. Had to bring our centerpieces right before the reception started, which made it difficult since we had to do it ourselves. They wouldn't allow us to drop it off and have their staff set it up which took time away from pictures. I used Amy Cakes from, their preferred vender list and the cake was amazing and beautiful. We used King Vincent for photos, which I'm still waiting to see pictures from. Hopefully we love them, but will update. I would definitely come back here again.

I have been to Anthony's Ocean View at least 4 times over the years, but this was only my second time since they did a massive, yet classy remodel! This time it was an enormous Stag Party! I have never been to a Stag Party anywhere that had such an over the top menu selection! I don't think that any of the multitude of choices were anything but spectacular! The Chicken Scarpiello was just AMAZING! I would highly recommend this venue for any occasion! Great job for your waitstaff, and Bartenders! They were hustling the whole night, and always were cheerful and took care of over 300 people! Well done! Not impressed at all! Take the view away and it’s just another average venue! The food was bad and cold - the venue had 2 events going on at the same time people had no idea what event to go to. I tried asking people question they spoke 0 English!! The bride and groom said if they had to do it all over again they would pick a different venue! I would not attend another event at this venue

When I first checked out Anthony’s ocean view I knew it would be the place I wanted to get married at.. but it all fell apart the day of my actual wedding. We were promised many things and even told “it doesn’t rain on wedding days” lol as if I believed it, but just the fact that it was said is very unprofessional. We asked several times about a rain backup plan and there was no answer just that it doesn’t rain on wedding days. The day came and it poured at our ceremony time. Staff had no idea what to do. As a bride who planned every detail and had everything organized for over a year, it was unacceptable that my items were not placed in the right areas or missed completely when they were dropped off a week before the wedding with labels where to go. My wedding which was supposed to be the best day of my life, fell apart all because of the venues lack of communication and not knowing what they were doing. Staff didn’t speak English the day of wedding. Items were missing such as cake Stand, sparklers, flower girl basket and much more. My hand fans and bubbles that I DIY’d all got ruined as the staff left it all out in pouring rain. everything was so unorganized that my family and myself were stuck reorganizing things when we got there. As a bride, there is no reason you should be crying unless it’s tears of joy, not sadness from how messed up your dream wedding you worked so hard on planning fell apart.. From the moment I got to Anthony’s and saw how everything was not organized, things were missing and staff had no idea where things were, unable to understand english I was a wreck. It was an embarrassment wedding for me. All vendors even said it was not a normal wedding and should get some refund in return. What did we get? Nothing. Venue was rude and liars when it came to the wedding day. Vendors I paid so much for such as violinists, DJ, photographer, videographer even got cut short time due to this issue from Anthony’s. One point the staff told photographer and videographer they could not take pictures or videos. moments I will NEVER get back or be able to retake. Videographer was told no drone zone even though he’s done it multiple times there. Violinists were playing for another event during our wedding which also wasn’t mentioned when booking our wedding. Myself as the bride, didn’t get to hear the violinist I hired except for the song my bridesmaids and I walked down to. My entire wedding felt like a joke or trial run. The disappointment and sadness I feel because of anthonys ocean view ruining my wedding day is unacceptable. A day I will never get back. A day that was supposed to be the best and unforgettable was destroyed not only because of lack of a backup plan, but because of the lies told, lack of communication, items missing and incorrectly put and not being able to communicate with staff day off due to language barrier. My husband and I missed cocktail hour and the entire 3 hours of our wedding day. We didn’t even eat anything or deserts it was all rushed. Chocolate fountain and crepe station was also missing the day of when we were told those would be there. I am so unhappy. The wedding I had envisioned and planned for so long went down the drain. Thousands of dollars down the drain for nothing. So unhappy that when I see other weddings and how perfect they were just makes me so upset. This was unacceptable and should be taken into consideration. If you are a bride who is putting a lot of time and money and work into your wedding, stay away from this venue. They will ruin your day in an instant.

Ik they cannot control the weather, but my point is for the amount of money spent for their services they dealt with it so so so crappy. This place is such absolute trash it’s not even funny.

Wedding photographer recommended! Anthony's Ocean View is definitely one of the more popular wedding venues in Greater New Haven and for good reason. I photographed a wedding there this summer and my couple and their guests loved it. If you're into beach idea, definitely consider it! But what's more is the service is very good, so you can rest assured that you're in good hands for your wedding day.
