This place slaps.
Greatest ice cream in the green. You have to try the waffle cones with their home made ice cream. It's sad that they don't have sitting area but they make it up with their service and charisma. They are even open in winters.
Very Good quality products and taste
Ice cream is ok but Overpriced. It’s a business driven place. I paid a tip but there’s really no good service. Also charge you ice cream paper cups and billed you under cones.
Limited flavors, and the only ice cream shop I've been to in years that has a no taste policy. The ice-cream flavored coconut with chocolate had ice crystals. I don't see the hype. Last comment, in every shop visited they will provide a small spoon of Vanilla ice cream for a pup that comes for the ride, not here, you have to spend $5.25 for the smallest cup.
It may have been the only ice cream place years ago, and has a legacy base, but there are several shops in Farmington Valley that are far superior in texture flavor, and customer service. Lastly, pay attention when paying with a credit card, the counter help selects 18% tip on the screen!
Amazing ice cream!
Coffee flavor was great
Their customer service can be improved.
I was in Arethusa for Ice Cream and I witness a couple purchased 2 waffle Cones. They paid for their order and left the store, only to return letting the staff behind the counter know that the cone was stale and soft. The staff refused to give them a fresh cone. Which I thought was the least they could do. After all they were not asking for a refund. When they were refused a fresh cone. The Customer said quietly “Well ok., then you will not have to worry about me coming back again and he headed for the door. When “Joe” the staff responded “Good Ben & Jerry’s down the Street.” Causing the customer to turn around and ask what did he say? I set there listening to all this and was appalled at the staff Joe’s response. I felt that Joe could have exhibited more professionalism; especially since he refused to make up for the stale cone. Joe’s response was very uncalled for. Joe escalated tension by telling them “go to Ben & Jerry” after they seemingly having a legitimate grippe about the product being less then fresh. The customer was not asking for any money back, he just wanted a fresh cone along with the ice cream. Joe agitated the already upset customers by telling him to go to other store causing the customer to ask if he wanted to step outside to settle the dispute. Not Joe or any of the other staff ever apologized or tried to offer another solution. Which was a turn off for me as well. I too will not be patronizing an establishment who treats customers this way.
Solid scoop shop.
They closed 5 minutes before what their door said!

Great ice cream however has limited selection lately
I usually get the sweet cream, but recently I tried strawberry, which is my new favorite. I suggest getting strawberry and chocolate together. An unexpectedly good combination.
As for seasonal flavors, I really liked raspberry and pistachio.
It was a very nice clean storage. The staff are very nice and respectful. Very friendly.
I love the products at Arathusa—especially the Diva, Camembert, and Europa cheese, and their ice cream is incredible. However, I was surprised to find that an 18% tip was added to my total without my consent. While I was able to get a refund, it would have been nice to receive an apology. I hope they address this issue for better customer transparency.
Workers rolled their eyes when my family and I walked in to purchase ice cream. They continuously had a bad attitude and were disrespectful throughout the whole experience. The ice cream tastes good, but the service needs immense improvement.
