Awesome spot! A must visit in New Haven

Stopped in here on a recent visit and had a great time! It happened to be their ninth anniversary and had live music. We even got free cake. I tried all three of their IPAs and they were excellent. I’ll definitely be back on a future visit.

We held my spouse's birthday party in the second floor event space, and we couldn't have been happier! The brewery was so accommodating and easy to work with, and patient with all questions I had in the run-up to the day of our event. On top of that, all our guests loved both the space and the variety (and quality) of drinks available. Will definitely recommend Armada to anyone looking to hold an event here in New Haven without hesitation!

This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I encountered Armada Brewery only once before - at one of the beer festivals. The beers were pretty good, so it was time to visit the brewery itself.

The brewery occupies its own industrial-style building and has a big parking lot. The brewery has 2 floors, so there is isolation for big companies. There's also a patio outside. No food is served, but they have rotating food trucks outside. The rooms are much more welcoming than they might look from the outside, with all the beautifully painted walls and nice decor. When I entered, I was immediately greeted by the owners - John and Alexandra - and spent my evening chatting with them. They are extremely welcoming and friendly people, and they created an awesome community around this brewery.

The beer menu is extensive and covers all the major styles. There are no beer flights. What the menu does not say, is that you can order any beer as a short 8oz pour, and that some of the beers can be poured milk-style. So if you're a fan of any of those - don't hesitate to ask. For this review I tried about 5 of their beers in the brewery and several beers before that. I quite enjoyed all of them. They offer a healthy mix between traditional beers and experimental ones, so this caters to any beer drinker. I especially enjoyed Eight (Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout) and These violent delights have violent ends (Barrel Aged Sour). Eight is an especially interesting experiment, as there are four beers sharing the same name - one base stout aged in four different barrels. This is a wonderful idea for a tasting evening.

I do recommend this brewery to any craft beer enthusiast around.

Dog friendly inside! Had some very good beers, and tasty pizza made upstairs and delivered down to the bar. The lounge upstairs has regular events.
The tap room is relatively small and cozy. Super friendly bartenders

Beer was tasty but unfortunately, unlike most breweries, they don’t “do samples” so you can’t preview a beer before ordering. Seems silly.
