Long wait, indifferent staff and very mid pizza especially for new Haven. Cracker thin with but very floppy dough with no chew. Decent toppings and flavors though

Visited New Haven and was told that BAR had really great pizza -- specifically the mashed potato pizza. I wasn’t sure if I’d like it, but it turns out that I LOVED it. So good! This place is great to grab some pizza with a group. There were lots of great options on the menu.

It's a bar with a small pizza menu. The pizza is thin crust and there's four options from what I saw on the menu, and it's all delicious. A friend and I split a large which was a bit too much but somehow we finished it all. The service was good, they didn't come and check on us which was in the end of the world. But we sort of expect that sometimes for drink refills and such. It looks like a pretty happen place with a good bar and lots of space to eat and hang out including outside seating. Which probably wouldn't be for me with the busy road outside. But if you heard the pizza is good here, I would have to agree and I would encourage you to check it out. Probably not a good spot for kids, but for everybody else it's great.

I've been away for 20 years, but the first place I came when I was back in town was BAR and it was like I never left. Still the best pizza, and still a great atmosphere.
Staff was friendly, and beer selection was good.
Don't miss this spot if you are in town!

The slices of pizza were ENORMOUS. Ordered two slices unknowingly and got an equivalent of maybe 4 standard slices. Thin crispy crust. Got to sample some beers. Good service.
Mary and Brandon were super kind especially to a couple of Texas tourists trying New Haven pizza and their delicious home brewed pizza for the first time. Pizza was delicious and the beer was delightful, but the kind and friendly service put the experience over the edge! Going back to try more items next week!

BAR violated my 1st amendment right. I was recording my cousin on stage before my phone got snatched out of my hand. I was man handled out and law enforcement was right outside. The police officer told me to delete the video which i didn’t. He also didn’t know the law, i have a master degree in criminal justice, the security dude left after i was talking to the police.
