Love the vibe here. The bar feels lively yet the noise level is low enough that you can carry on a conversation and easily hear the person you're talking to. They have a pool table opposite the TV, next to the dining tables. Just walking in on a whim without having been there or knowing the area, I was really impressed by the warm, almost throwback atmosphere.
What a great place. Stopped in on a Thursday afternoon. Pizza was perfect. The bartender was what every bartender should be. She was awesome! Fun vibe in the place and great beer selection
Not the best day to come here. Restaurant not adequately staffed for the holiday. Had a 45 minute wait for the table and then our pizza order was significantly delayed. Server was apologetic and manager took $$ off the bill, which is very appreciated. House beer is excellent and pizza was good, not as tasty as some of the others in New Haven, but good overall. Spent over 2 hours here so plan accordingly. We had to add more time to our street parking meter.
