We tried Bella’s Cafe a few weeks ago and had to go back! The food is incredible (the creamiest, most delicious cheese grits I’ve ever had). The strawberry rhubarb French toast special was next level. Staff is so friendly. If you are looking for yummy comfort food in a warm and inviting place, check out this spot!

The service was absolutely horrible. Amazingly unprofessional with the attitude of they are “doing you a favor” by serving you. It’s too bad because the food is pretty good, but the total lack of professionalism is so off putting that I will never go back.

What time do you stop accepting customers? It would be helpful to put up a sign so everyone is informed. I arrived at 1:20, and there’s no line—just empty chairs. The acting manager told me they aren’t taking any more customers because they’re waiting for people they’ve texted who aren’t here, even though the kitchen closes at 1:45. In the meantime, you’re turning away customers right in front of you, despite having plenty of empty tables.”

Perfect food, service, and atmosphere. I ordered their shrimp and grits after seeing all the praise. It’s very warm and savory. Perfect dish for a cold day. My husband ordered the Navajo special. He absolutely loved it. He loved how the cilantro was mixed in with the avocado. Even as someone who hates cilantro, I tried a bite and thought it was very good. We’ve tried many New Haven diners (including the most famous ones), and this place is definitely the best. It’s my husband’s new favorite breakfast place in general too. The servers were very attentive. Please check this place out if you’re interested in good and unique breakfast
