it is a midrange hotel that takes too much advantage of its nice location. we paid up for a suite which wasn't a suite. just a large room with a small, unusable pull out bed. not what you'd expect for $1000 for 3 nights. there's enough space for a modest investment to turn it into more of a suite. but it seems to be run as a cash cow. i'd go elsewhere.
I’m currently staying in this hotel and just wanted to “pen” my review before I left and life made me forget to write it. This is a lovely hotel. First things first, I’m staying in a clean and well appointed king guest room with one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. The bathroom is large and clean. The view is nice and the tv is huge. The lobby bar/restaurant is great. I’ve had both of my evening meals there as well as one breakfast. Try the Margarita...
"Average" should not be considered a bad review. I prefer Marriott properties because they are clean and professional and you know what you're getting and you get what you pay for. The Courtyard at Yale does not aspire to be a 5-star hotel. It is clean, comfortable and professional. Pretty standard hotel. Breakfast was nothing to shake a stick at. Ice machines work. Laundry works. Easy walk to Yale University.
