Bloom is an amazing floral and gift shop that also doubles as a community center. The owner, Alisha, has painstakingly decorated every nook and cranny with exquisite care. I felt honored to be in this space. I was greeted the moment I walked into the space and was lucky enough to have Alisha attend to my Mother's Day floral request. You can tell that she thoroughly enjoys what she does. What made this space even more amazing is that all the gifts found within it are made by members of the community. This is a Black-owned business that is truly about giving back to the community. I can't wait for my mother to receive her arrangement this year. I highly recommend that you give Bloom a try!😁🥰

I was looking for a last minute bouquet for a friend and am so grateful I found BLOOM. I came in pretty close to closing but the owner took her time to make sure I was comfortable in the space and happy with my purchase. From the moment you enter the shop, you are surrounded with a calming energy.
There is a range of products for sale made by local artisans at affordable prices. And my bouquet was absolutely beautiful. (I somehow forgot to snap a pic!)
I will be back and am encouraging my friends and family to support this charming business.

There are so many details that go into making a celebration special and Alisha made sure to cover all the bases. Yesterday, late in the day, shortly before closing, I stopped at Bloom's for the first time to pick up a floral bouquet for my young granddaughter for her piano recital the next morning. As soon as I entered the place, I was aware of the great vibe in there. They put something together for me very quickly with a smile and at an extremely reasonable price. I will definitely be using that again. It's a wonderful place. I encourage others to find out for themselves. It was a great contrast to the experience I had at the store in downtown New Haven. I had stopped at previously. All they had were huge, expensive bouquets, and when I said, I wanted something half that size I was told that they do not customize bouquets,., Case closed. I will not be going back to that place again even though their flowers were beautiful.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Alisha's floral expertise at BLOOM Florist in New Haven CT. My husband, David, collaborated with Alisha to create two stunning floral arrangements for my birthday, even on short notice. Alisha's designs were nothing short of spectacular—each arrangement was uniquely intricate, with a delicate balance of colors and flowers that truly captivated. I always leave a little happier than I came in, whether to get coffee (so yummy) or a treat, get flowers, or browse through the amazingly curated collection of art (including art from local artists), books, jewelry, etc. I have also hosted a small gathering of friends for a special birthday and had the owner work with me to carefully craft the ambiance and amazing food, and created a most special day for me and the girls. Amazing gem!

Last minute flower shopping, I reached out to BLOOM 15 min prior to closing time. Friendly team member Kiara jumped in to assist me with some choices. Upon arriving a was immediately greeted by Kiara. While waiting for order to be finalized owner Alisha offered the most welcoming “thank you stopping in today” really making me feel welcomed. This florist is truly amazing, with a coffee bar and light fare available, a very creative place. Just found my future go to place for floral arrangements.
