I ordered the Turkey spicy Mayo sandwich and I wasn't impressed and felt like it was lacking the main term in the sandwich, which was spicy or sriracha Mayo at they called it. Secondly, the lettuce was dripping wet and there wasn't much flavor to the components of-the sandwich. I would give this item 1.5 stars

Very good, that is exactly how I would describe my experience a Blue State Coffee a Congress. I was looking to meet with several colleagues of mine in New Haven, and remembered the last time I was at this location that there was ample seating, and a good cup of coffee. Coffee first! I've been to the location in Hartford several times, and like that location, the coffee on Congress was quite delicious. Blue state has a good mission in how they source their coffee, and it shows up in every cup. In my experience the barista's are always well trained and adept at their job, and the espresso is consistently smooth and full of flavor, and the milk steamed with just the right amount of foam. The staff taking orders and making the coffee are all pleasant, not terribly engaging, but pleasant and friendly. I did end up trying one of their pastries, and that's the only place I have a little bit of a complaint because all of the pastries are wrapped in plastic. I'm assuming it's a Covid related requirement, maybe it's a New Haven thing, but in my mind it always makes me think they were made somewhere else and shipped to this location. I get it, not every coffee shop can have pastries baked fresh daily on site, and my scone was quite delicious, it's just one of those psychological things. I would highly recommend you stop by this location, it's going to be my new go to spot for meetings in New Haven!

This is the best cafe on the medical campus in my opinion. Coffee is solid, especially light roast drip and mochas. However, I don’t recommend the food. Grab something from the carts instead!

This establishment has the absolute worst customer service. The cashier who took my order, specifically the blonde white girl, rung me up for the entire wrong drink and overcharged me. When I proceeded to tell her my order was wrong, she still didn’t listen and had the audacity to give attitude. I’ll never come here again, I’d rather use my money where I’m respected.

Skip this place. The coffee is bad and the staff acts like they are doing you a favor by being there. Lots of other good choices in New Haven!

Ginger Tea is always delicious and on point.The space itself is dirty nasty and needs a deep cleaning. They never sweep. Never mop never clean the stainless steel Fridge or counters. The floors needs machine scrubbing. You can't help but notice it.
