I've been to Brazis many times over the years and today was by the far the worst experience I've had. The food came out slow and piecemeal. My young daughter got hers first, the appetizer about 10 min following that, a pizza about 10-15 after that and 2 dinner meals almost 20 min after that. We ran out of drinks and the waitress came back twice and left so quickly that only 1 or 2 people ended up with a refill. Usually the service is above par with the food. This may be our last visit.

Looking for a nice place and atmosphere to dine with family and friends? Look no further, Brazi’s is the place! We’ve been coming to this fantastic restaurant for some years. It never ceases to amaze me how wonderful the staff is. Today we were celebrating my daughter’s birthday and they went above and beyond our expectations with their service and attentiveness to my family. Thanks for your kindness, the delicious bread pudding and our waiter singing happy birthday with his deep Italian accent. I've never had a bad meal here!! Such great Italian food!
Went there for dinner before a show. Got there at 5:00 for a 7:00 show. Two hours should be plenty of time for 4 people to have dinner, at 6:15 we still did not have our entrees so I hunted down our waitress and told her we had to be at a show at 7! She said she'd go check the kitchen, meanwhile, people around us that had come in after us had already gotten their food! By 6:30 I went and found the manager and told him we had to leave and to cancel the order and give us our bill for the apps. (Even if the food came out right then, which it didn't,we would have had to scarf it down and run out the door)He told us WE shouldve told them we had a show at 7:00 ! like it was OUR fault!!! ! I think an hour and a half is an unreasonable amount of time to wait for a meal! The place wasn't even that crowded when we got there at 5! Then the waitress comes and puts the check on the table and walks away......no apology, no nothing! We go to pay the check and the manager takes it, again, totally unapologetic !! He just kept repeating that WE should have told them we had a show to be at!!! Again like it was our fault they couldn't get us our meals in an hour and a half !! Terrible customer service from the waitress and even worse customer service from the manager! A simple apology would have went very far in this situation, we are not unreasonable people,we understand things happen, but this was some of the worst customer service I have ever seen ! Needless to say we won't be back.
This Restaurant caters to those with a less spicy palate. This is my second visit to this establishment in over a decade- the cuisine has not changed. The food is not very well seasoned. The cuisine is particularly oily. The service is decent. Doesn't feel very authentic to the Italian cuisine. Good place to visit if you like a more bland diet. Restaurant is very nice- atmosphere is reminiscent of old world Italy, it's just a shame the food is not up to par.*The Pizza was the best thing on the menu thus far.Dietary restrictions: I have a shellfish allergy- they were very accommodating to this. My kids have a nut allergy- they were also accommodating to this.

I'm a huge fan of Italian food (who doesn't love pasta?!) and always on the hunt for new Italian restaurants to try in the area. I found a list online that included Brazi's as one of the "must try" restaurants in New Haven. I was honestly a bit disappointed by the food. My friends and I enjoyed our dishes but the flavors were pretty simple and lacked depth. I ordered the Vodka sauce pasta with a chicken cutlet on the side. A couple of the friends I went with also tried the chicken. We unanimously agreed that it was pretty much flavorless. I had to top it with salt, pepper, and hot sauce just to make it taste better so it wouldn't go to waste. It was really unfortunate considering the added chicken was not cheap!! Overall felt underwhelmed by my meal but the waitresses were all so kind and friendly which was nice.
