This place is fantastic! We stopped in for dinner by chance with no reservations on a Saturday and were given a great table. The cocktails are amazing and they have a great wine selection, the food was delicious the service was great and the prices were not bad at all. This place is a definite yes.

The food was good, sauce was delicious. Service could've been better. Although our server was very nice, he could have been more attentive. We waited between courses awhile. Never asked if we wanted more drinks & our glasses where dry most of the dinner. 😔

From entering the restaurant, I felt like I was being greeted by a family member, very familiar and loved the hospitality. This Italian restaurant makes you feel like you are in NYC with the atmosphere but a taste of Italia. I loved how the servers were from Italy and speak the language. I will definitely be back and couldn’t be more happy with this restaurant. Recommend them 100/100. Assolutamente Fantastica!!!!!!

Had to get my phone fixed so looked for a place local to the Apple store that I could get to without a phone. First stop was Tomatillo but it was more a fast food vibe and didn't exactly match what I saw online. So grateful that happened because that is how I ended up at Casanova - fanciest deviled eggs I've ever had but the real winner was the Branzino - I am a branzino fan and this was the best, most amazing melt in your mouth branzino I have ever had - butterflied and amazing - seriously a must try. As for the drinks, I am a margarita girl and had a nice spicy one though it's not on the drink menu but my server made a recommendation and I honestly regret not getting the Montalcini Mentalita from jump - very refreshing and great tasting cocktail. Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone - you definitely won't regret giving this place a try - you know it had to be good if my phone is ready and I'm still on my laptop writing a review :) Andria was an AMAZING server - thanks to him I have discovered a new favorite cocktail.

Had the most delicious dinner tonight at Casanova. This new restaurant really raised the bar for Italian. Started off with the kale Caesar salad, truffle deviled eggs, and the bruschetta. Each appetizer was perfect to share and had all the right flavors. For entrees, we had the caramelle and the tartufo pizza. The Caramelle was by FAR my favorite dish of the night. However the tiramisu was just how I had it in Italy. Casanova is a must try and I can't wait to get back there for more!

The place and the service are pretty good. Drinks approve! But the disappointment on the food was the whole thing, really short menu no flavors at all in the food I order this pasta and it was like a ball of none flavor with some broccoli and pistachio sauce It look like mochi ice cream😆 please.. get serious

Casanova definitely has brought Italian culture to New Haven! House made pasta was delicious, perfect place for friends, family or a date. I’ve gone with both friends and family the service was impeccable and every dish tasteful and unique. Definitely recommend!!

From the primi to the dolci, every bite got better and better. I highly recommend the Caramelle pasta, the Tartufo Nero pizza and the Pecan Cream Puffs (I will be making a return visit soon to sample the entrees). Casanova has been open for only 2 weeks, but Joe and his team are on track to become one of New Haven County’s best Italian restaurants!
