WOW I have never had a bagel experience like this before. My Yalie daughter dragged me here and I must admit, it was the best bagel I have ever had and the customer service was great! It was also very crowded but everyone was happy! Will be back again :) I had the onion bagel with cream cheese.

Oh my! One of the best bagels I ever had. I was looking for my usual Bacon, Egg, and Cheese and found this place. I decided to go with a sesame bagel. After my first bite, I knew I was in for something special. The bagel was so moist and had amazing texture. And the taste with the sesame was incredible. Again, one of the best bagels I ever had. Only one problem. I like my BEC with a Diet Coke ... and this place just didn't offer it. I was ready to ding them on the rating for this, but the bagel was too good.

Was visiting New Haven last weekend (from Brooklyn) and had the pleasure of eating at Olmo not once, not twice, but three times!! For breakfast, every morning of my visit. The bagels so good, the menu so mouthwatering, the people so kind and welcomingā I couldnāt stay away! And Iām still thinking about it a week laterā¦
The first morning I got the Hot Pastrami. It is, and i cannot stress this enough, DELICIOUS! A generous helping of pastramiārivaling that of Katz Deliāpaired with a mind-blowingly yummy spinach-artichoke schmear and some pickled onions sandwiched between a sesame seed bagel. Cannot recommend enough.
The next morning I had to try a new schmear (the schmear selection is thrilling). I went with beet and dill veggie on an onion bagel. Crunchy, refreshing, sweet. Yum.
I am a creature of habit so, despite my desire to try the basil feta schmear, the third morning I went with the Hot Pastrami again. Turns out lightning can strike twice, it was just as delish the second time.
This is a place that clearly loves their clientele and their craft. They were communicative, efficient, and so friendly. You immediately feel welcome. A must visit for any bagel lover who finds themself in New Haven!!

Olmo is the best bagelry in Connecticut, Iām pretty sure. The delicious options and combinations are endless. Try āThe Gregoryā which is an everything bagel with egg, cheese, bacon, and bacon jam. (Note that all these options are real but sadly The Gregory not an official menu nameā¦yet. I will patiently wait.)
We like to get a bakers dozen and schmear from Olmo on Whitney or on Saturdays at the Wooster Square farm market. Or one of those delicious sandwiches like The Brick or The Gregory.
My son enjoyed his bagel so much this morning that it made him lose a tooth. His sandwich cost him $5 but the tooth fairy will bring him $5 which is like a free bagels forever loophole.
Vegetarian options: i love yummy fresh tomatoās and lettuce on my bagel
Kid-friendliness: theyāre so kind here and hard working!! the bagels are delicious we get it every weekend
