the food at chacra was beyond great I recommend the ceviches shareables with a side of extra tostones and plantain chips because damn! It's so good, everything taste fresh and so flavorful. The pisco cocktails are amazing my server did a phenomenal job, super attentive, great suggestions if you ask her. definitely comin back

First of all, this restaurant does not honor your open table reservation. When you enter and tell them you have a reservation they just nod. For this visit I wrote in the special request that I didn't want to sit at the table next to the front door ( as it was cold out). We arrived and the only table available was the one next to the door!! I told her I requested NOT to have that table. I very unhappily had to sit there. The drinks came out wrong. The server did not know how to accept payment via credit card. The vibe has become less of a restaurant and more like a bar. Food is good but will never come back.

waited like 2 hours for the food which some plates ended up coming freezing cold, drinks were flat and just didn’t taste right in general. food was also very meh and for the price it should be MUCH better.. only good thing about this place was the outside seating options. On top of all of that the waiter and all around service was highly disappointing with the waiter being arrogant and giving attitude when ever we asked for a mistake to be fixed or made right. Would NOT recommend in the slightest.

My husband and I eat out a lot and this was the absolute worst dinner we've had recently. He got the salmon and the middle was literally pink and not cooked. My milanasa de pollo was a frozen chicken patty with no arugula salad. Rice was bland. Overall it was a terrible dinner.

We had a great meal at Chacra. The ceviche and fried Branzino were delicious - and so were the pisco sours. We will be back.

I came here to eat when they first opened, food was good and I was excited to go back. However, when I returned it had been nothing but issues. First time going at night, and a female bartender (i was told her name is jimena), walked up to me and a few friends and accused us of sneaking in through the gates. We had to call the security guard just to prove that we did not sneak in and for her to leave us alone, as it was extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing.

Again, I am new to this spot, but even when I had to use the restroom at the end of the night, security repeatedly scolded me stating that I am not allowed to use the bathroom. I understand rules, but the staff was overall nasty; which made the experience here negative and terrible. I was unable to really speak to anyone as nobody cared and continued to be disrespectful. Terrible service.. Dont even bother going. Theres FIRE peruvian spots nearby !!! Like in East Haven- like Sabor Peru!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND ENERGY!!! This spot is SO BAD!!!!

Simply did not live up to the rating on Opentable. Food: Ceviche was good, shared as a starter. The other 4 mains were average to mediocre. The seared Tuna was dry and overcooked. We then ordered a kebab, specifically asked not to be spicy as it was for a small boy, they served a very spicy kebab. Non-caring. Inadequate winelist, also overpriced for what they offered. Service variable, unenthusiastic to non-caring

This place is incredibly disappointing. The food is a poor excuse for Peruvian cuisine — bland, inauthentic, and completely lacking the rich flavors that make Peruvian food so special. To make matters worse, the service is terrible. The staff is rude, especially the bartender. Her attitude is dismissive and confrontational. Safe to say we are taking our business elsewhere and won’t be returning.

Been going to Chacra for a while now. This is one of the best Peruvian restaurants in Connecticut. Not to mention they have a great outdoor space. The lomo saltado was on point, the ceviche was delicious that we have to get a second one. The servers here are always very nice. And the space has a lot of nice decors. I've come here with large parties as well. Their cocktails are crafted to perfection specially the pisco sours Highly recommend, will be back.

Two years ago I went to eat, the food was good, that's why I returned today to order a delivery, the rice was stored, the oil they used in the chaufa rice was stored from days ago, a horrible taste, I will never go back there again

Excellent Peruvian restaurant in peaceful setting. Food was delicious. Two of us shared two appetizers (fried calamari and fried yucca), one main course and a bottle of Albariño white wine. Delicious relaxing evening!
