We discovered this place on our last day in New Haven and went there for breakfast. It's on the water, and it is small and modest, yet sparkling clean and the food is wonderful and creative. We were greeted by the man who we assume to have been the owner, and he is the best of the "real" New Englanders: friendly, kind and helpful. The menu is creative, with things like Sweet Potato Hash, pancakes and muffins, and other interesting all-day things, a la carte, so...
The staff were wonderful! So kind and welcoming. Since we had a party of 6, she offered us a family style breakfast of pancakes, bacon & sausage, scrambled eggs and sweet potato hash. My friend also ordered a lobster roll and everything was so delicious. I would definitely go again.
Friend and I went for breakfast. Great coffee. She had muffins. Huge and delish. I had eggs and lobster a daily special. Good as well. Great staff. Friendly and efficient. Tables outside as well. You can watch them bring in the boats for the winter. We talked along time and they never hurried us. Then take a walk around City Point.
