Nestled in an old white clapboard house, this pint-sized coffee sanctuary somehow squeezes more character into its 400 square feet than establishments triple its size. Step through the door while minding them stairs, and enter a world where sunlight dances across worn wooden floors, casting tree-shadow patterns that change with the seasons.
The tin ceiling and ornate fans hover above a carefully curated space where every plant, local artwork, and intentionally placed chair feels like it's been thoughtfully considered rather than merely arranged. With seating for barely a dozen souls, arriving after 9:30am is a game of caffeinated musical chairs that you're likely to lose badly.
Their matcha latte—admittedly priced like it contains actual emerald dust—delivers complexity worth contemplating. The breakfast sandwich transforms simple ingredients into morning poetry, with fresh greens and smoked salmon creating a harmonious dialogue between sea and land that justifies its hipster premium.
What truly sets this place apart is its commitment to genuine connection—the refreshing absence of laptop glow creates an atmosphere where conversations bloom and strangers might become neighbors. The pride flag outside isn't just decoration; it's a promise that everyone deserves good coffee and a place at the table.
Arrive early for those legendary almond croissants, stay for the surprisingly delightful espresso-tonic concoction, and leave reminded that sometimes the smallest spaces create the largest impressions.

Cute little shop. I ordered a 12oz mocha that was very yummy and light!
What a great use of such a small space for this coffee shop!
I was greeted with a smile and the latte was deliciously made with good quality coffee ☕️ 🙌
There are nice food items on the menu that are mindfully created and not processed. The display of baked goods is inviting to taste.
I highly recommend supporting this small business located in the heart of East Rock in New Haven, CT 😉

We got two lattes that were mediocre and overpriced. The main issue is the extremely rude staff. They present as an all-accepting establishment but the front of house present as nothing of the like. They spoke to customers in a very rude manner and proceeded to engage in loud conversation.

The Barista's make excellent latte art. Try their house special cardamom syrup (if you don't like it too sweet they'll do a 1/4th pump which is honestly ideal). The vibes in their on a rainy day with a book are unmatched. For food, get the Dave's pesto!

Meh. Food was good. No Wi-Fi. Unimpressed.Didn’t know about any “devices policy” coming in. Tried to loop into Wi-Fi and was told that I couldn’t. I specifically came here to have a coffee/croissant and catch up on some work on my laptop. However, I was never told to put any device away, even when I tried to use my phone as a mobile hotspot for my computer. So maybe they’ve revised this policy.

Very lonely staff!! This is our go to place in the weekend. Sitting outside and feeding the birds is so wholesome.
Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian/vegan options!

Great coffee, friendly staff, and a nice place to visit. I got a BEC sandwich and a cappuccino. The staff work hard to serve everyone quickly and keep the place clean. Thank you.
