Great coffee shop with very friendly and welcoming staff. They make one of the best mochas in town and their ham&cheese croissants are absolutely delicious

I always get my sourdough bread from G Cafe Bakery, and it’s consistently delicious! The prices are fair, even with a slight increase, and the service is always excellent. I highly recommend this bakery!

Delicious pastries. Well worth the cost is no longer true.
4 years ago I loved the pastries and the service was wonderful. 2 days ago I was disappointed in the food and the service. One young lady assisted an individual then totally ignored me, without saying anything she began preparing to close. another individual just happened to come from the back and helped me. service at the shop on Orange was astoundingly bad.
I was also shocked at how bland and dry the carrot cake was..
Unlike my review 4yrs prior, where I said the pastries were well worth the price, this time even the almond croissants were not the same flavorful experience I remember.

Breakfast sandwich WOULD be amazing… Good vibes inside, nice staff, eggs cooked well, really nice bagel: But no option for white american cheese???? It’s giving elitist/too bougie for your own good!
Remember: This is new haven connecticut before this is yale-town: You’re not too fancy for american cheese. If I wanted swiss cheese on my eggs, I’d order a croque madame🙄

I used to live just next door and went here every other day to get a deliciously made cortado. Lovely people, Laylani, Autumn, Elliot, and Ryan always did an amazing job and the pastries are the best in the Northeast!

Every time I visit New Haven, G Café is one of my favorite stops. It has that cozy, small-town café charm that instantly makes you feel at home.
This time, I went in hoping to get some work done, and it didn’t disappoint. There were others working too, which created a nice focused vibe. The free Wi-Fi and sunny window view made it an ideal spot to spend the afternoon.
I ordered the ham and cheese quiche—absolutely perfect—and paired it with an iced latte (requested with less ice, and to my surprise, they actually followed through!). For just $14, I got great food, great coffee, and a peaceful three-hour work session. Definitely a spot I want to come back to.
