Geronimo Tequila Bar and Southwest Grill - New Haven

Food and service was very good. Shrimp tempura tacos were overly heavy in breading. Spicy blood orange margaritas and fresh guacamole were spot on as always.

I always love going there. It's always fun. They have great drinks foods awesome. The staff is great.

The vibe was super lively (a little loud, but fun), and the tequila list is seriously huge — like 500+ options. I tried the tableside guac and carne asada tacos, both really solid.They serve Southwestern food — think tacos, burritos, chile rellenos, and lots of bold, spicy flavors.

Went for happy hour with a group. While the prices are competitive with other places close by, I must say that the portions for food and the drinks were disappointing. Even the guacamole was very less with the bowl filled up with chips and small portion. Quite disappointing!!!

The food was delicious and there were plenty of gluten free options. I will visit here again.

We sat at the special “scorpion “ table. Hostess was lovely, service was excellent, food was delicious!

We walked in on a Friday at 4pm asked if we had a reservation , we did not . They said they’d seat us but we had to leave by 6. Fine we sat down we were asked what type of water we wanted and after 20 minutes I went looking for our waitress she was at the bar said rudely. “ I’m right here! I can’t go behind the bar!” Ok but in 20 minutes a restaurant with maybe 20 customers total at the time took 20 minutes to pour water . She brought it then instead of taking our order ignored us and turns around took two more tables orders then we waved her down to take ours . Long story short food was decent , service terrible and for $100 bucks I expect more .

My friend and I went here (me for the first time), and we ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Guac and margs were sooooo good (Santa Fe in particular), but honestly, our server Hugo was the best part. He gave AMAZING recommendations and appreciated our need to take super cute pics. Definitely would not have been as amazing of an experience without him; we'll be back for sure!!!

Perfect experience at one of our favorite places in the area. The guac bowl was outstanding and entrees were exceptional. The tres leches was also just great!! Super pre “Moth” dinner in Bew Haven.

Danalyn was great! Quick and concise, we made it to a Shubert show on time. Delicious nachos and tacos and cocktails! Would love to frequent this place more often!

We were squished in the back and it was way to dark, and loud we could not have a conversation.

We visited New Haven for 1 night and ate here because the atmosphere looked good online. We ordered the table side guacamole, chips and salsa ( which cost $18). It was delivered premade, not tableside. We were not given enough chips to finish the salsa and guacamole and requested more salsa and chips. Our server told us that they charged for more chips and salsa! This is the first Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in my life. They didn’t give you free chips and salsa, much less charged for refills.

For our main entrée, we ordered the Carne Asada quesadilla. It was marginal and had blue cheese on top which we thought was kind of weird. Honestly, we have had a much better quesadilla at the fuzzy tacos franchise next to our house.

The service was very slow, even non- existent until we motioned to our server. I don’t think it was his fault because he just looked over worked and it seemed there were only a couple of servers in the whole restaurant.

Music was way too loud.

I hate to leave a bad review for a business owner as I own a business, but this place is obviously under bad management.
