Upstairs and downstairs menus (which are different) have a great and eclectic flair. We had a great mixture of foods ordering the Pork Milanese, Bronzino, Roasted Figs, Fig Leaf Panna Cotta, Chocolate Gelato and Affogato were just to die for!
Can't wait to go back when they turn roof top bar into a festive wonderland.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Absolutely my favorite restaurant in CT! If I lived closer I would be here every day. The whole team at Gioia was so welcoming, and the atmosphere felt like a fun dinner party at your best friends home. It’s clear there is so much thought behind every detail, from the creative cocktails, to delicious food that was easy to share. Bravo to the entire team front & back for creating such a memorable experience! I love how this restaurant is a perfect date night spot, a fun family dinner, or bring a big group of friends & order a little bit of everything to share! MUST SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT! The strawberry rhubarb tart changed my life in the best way! Also incredible affogato! Can’t wait to be back soon!

The food was alright but the waiter was very passive aggressive. We asked for a box and the check and he was very dismissive. This was some of our first times in the restaurant, and while the other waiters were nice, ours left us unhappy.

Gioia is incredible! I went with a friend and we decided to make it a pseudo-tapas style meal. We had the calamari, broccolini, straciatella with figs, bucatini, and fennel salad. I could eat that broccolini every day. Our server, Becky, was exactly the right amount of attentive, never making us feel rushed. We ended up trying the fig leaf panacotta and the almond cake for dessert. Both were extraordinary. One of the owners, Tim, came over to introduce himself and we had a lovely chat.
This was one of the best meals I've ever had and I will be going back as many times as possible.

Overpriced and extremely underwhelming of a meal. Could’ve made the same type of food at home and it’d taste just as good, if not better. $17 for 3 tiny, tiny meatballs is crazy. Good drinks, but don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon.

What a great restaurant! Beautiful room, great food & service. Sat in a booth in the main room, then had drinks at the upstairs bar. An all around enjoyable spot. Will definitely visit again.

I want to give a shout-out to this amazing spot! They let us use their outdoor picnic tables to enjoy some drinks from their bar and pizza from local pizzerias. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the seating was just what we were looking for. Highly recommend checking it out!
