If you're going to charge me $8 for a Monte Cristo with no tomato, one that had been sitting in your case for who knows how long, only to take one out of said case, open said sandwich, pull off the tomato and reheat, please make sure that it has all of its ingredients, including cheese and honey mustard, and that it's not BURNT and SOGGY when you reheat it in your panini press. Needless to say, I'm pretty dissatisfied.

G-Hev is amazing. Of course it is overpriced, but honestly that is because demand is so high because it is the only 24 hour place around/ where else are we going to get convenient stuff? If there was no ghev there would be no love.

Gourmet Heaven is the most expensive store I have ever visited. The employees are unfriendly and the prices are astronomical. Don't visit this store unless you have a ton of money to waste.

Everything at their deli is amazing! Big fan of steak, egg, and cheese

Get food from the deli. Sausage, egg, and cheese was the move 3 years ago. Buffet is a rip off and super expensive. Cool area upstairs for studying and a quick recluse. Hop out the window to get some cool rooftop action if you can navigate. Otherwise get your $0.99 drink they have to honor and run away from the rest. 3rd star only because they were open 24/7 and that's pretty priceless in a college town. Thanks for the times G'Heav.

It is hit or miss on freshness. It is also slightly overpriced for this sort of thing, but I love the pay-by-weight concept. It's good for a quick meal, but I wouldn't call it gourmet.

Very good food....fresh nice selection. ...very pricey tho!! But good food at 2am is priceless! !!!! Worth the money and the trip....

Aside from the political drama, the selection here is poor and the bread is sometimes moldy. Nice buffet, but not worth the $$$$

Very conveniently located on Yale campus not far from the bookstore. 24/7 is a huge plus. I walked pass by this place almost everyday when I was at Yale for a week long training. Came here maybe 3 times to get bottled water and bananas for breakfast. I got one banana each day, they tried to charge me different price, 50 cents, 75 cents then $1.25. But they were the same exact banana, I really didn't get it! The second time this guy tried to charge me $1.25. I was like "I got a banana yesterday, it was 75 cents". He went "they are bigger this morning". But seriously they really weren't. So I went to pick a smaller one and he let me have it for 75 cents. Seriously? What's up with that?!

a great place to shop if you have extra cash to spend on food or food items. the stuff is a bit pricey but, they have more than your usual, range of candies and other things. a good place to get food but still a bit pricey

Late night sandwiches

I see a lot people seemingly confused about the pricing here. Allow me to elucidate. Gourmet Heaven has operated successfully for many years based on one effective but highly cynical principle: Yale undergraduates are often too wealthy or too drunk to know or mind that they are being ripped off. I'm honestly not judging you, undergrads. I get it: it's late, you've been out partying at Toad's, you just need something to eat and you don't really care what it is or how much you're paying. You stumble toward Gourmet Heaven, its modest entryway now a golden, radiant gate with St. Peter standing there beckoning you inside. You scoop up an armful of groceries, throw them down on the counter along with a credit card, and march home triumphantly, hoping that when you examine the receipt tomorrow they didn't charge you $65 for cookies and cheese snacks. But was it an awesome night? Probably.

Great food for those who are on the move. The sandwiches are pretty cheap and they make them quickly. The store also has all kinds of necessities besides food. The buffet is pretty good too, but kind of expensive for the quality.
