Very interesting flavors, in very small quantities, for very high prices. Our server was excellent: friendly and helpful. We spent about $65 +tip each for food and delicious saké. I really wanted to like it, but ultimately, it was less than satisfying.

Kid-friendliness: I wouldn't try to bring kids.
My wife and I had hot sake and that was incredible. So if you want a place to try great Sake, this is the spot. We had the Wagyu beef bowls. I had the curry, and 60% of the plate was filled with curry sauce. It was just not good. The beef was served cold. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be or not, but not a fan and was not mentioned in the menu. My wife had a similar experience with hers and she actually stopped eating it halfway through.

This is an excellent shokudo (eating hall) restaurant. The black cod and unagi entrees are delicious as is the uni and ikura. The sake collection is amazing and the wines are all from Ungrafted
