Idk why the rating is this high. The food is just BAD, especially their signature "The Sandwich." The meat is tasteless, and all the flavor come from the crust. This is extra bad when the meat is thick. More importantly, the sandwich is EXPENSIVE. Come on, should not be charging 16 bucks for a chicken sandwich. I can get two burgers (or even 4 with ubereats promotion) with that price at Shake Shack! The fries are okay I guess, but is not outstanding compared to other fries in town. Not worth trying

If you're craving a deep fried, hot, Nashville style chicken sando, this is the place you don't want to miss. Unfortunately, it's "to go" only, so plan to take it home or to a pretty spot on Yale's campus. Service is quick and friendly. They get busy though, so do plan to wait during peak times.

Had a whole meal, Chicken was juicy but had no flavor, spicy but not flavorful. Banana pudding was old even though it was earlier in the day. Also had to wait awhile when the store was empty. Response below is false.. never replied back to my refund smh 😂😂👎

I live nearby (Orange) and have gotten food here at least two dozen times during the last two years. My complaint concerns their consistency. Sometimes they're spot on, but too often they're off.
I've had chicken that was damn near perfect, but I've also had chicken, multiple times, that was either completely overcooked or perhaps even freezer burned? I'm not sure if they use frozen chicken, but it was practically inedible like freezer burned meat.
A side of fries could be large, could be medium, or could be small; you never know. Sometimes the fries are hot and crispy, while other times cold and dry after lounging under the heat lamp for too long. During my last visit, I got my fries mixed in with my tenders instead of their own box. They were of the small and cold variety.
It's common not to get ketchup or the sauce you ordered. I'd rather not have to check, but that's what it's come to.
And of course, there's a tip menu which offers the lowest choice at 18%. I have a fantasy where I pay that and the food will be better, but that hasn't been the case so far. Nevertheless, I end up paying $24 for a sandwich combo or tender combo. Nearly a quarter of a hundred dollars for a mystery box. If it was great every time, then I really wouldn't have a problem with the cost.
I want Haven Hot Chicken to be great, but you've got to be more consistent with your standards. I will keep going, occasionally, but I hope it gets better.

So overpriced. My friend and I payed nearly 50 dollars for some half decent chicken sandwiches and fries. You’re much better off going to a real fast food place and saving half the money you’d spend here

Visited the Middletown ct restaurant. Clean , professional and outstanding southern chicken. The manger was awesome and was very friendly.
I tried Haven Hot Chicken for the first time today, ordered a Tendie Duo Combo Mild. I tried all three sauces and by far the sweet sauce is my favorite; completely changed the game for me when it comes to chicken and tenders at that! The tenders are just about 3oz a piece so juicy & crispy with the right amount of spice. But if you like them hot they have that option too! Sarah took my order and filled me in on all there was to know about Haven Hot Chicken in Storrs & helped me to select what I wanted, & it didn’t take them long to prep my order for take out, amazing customer service! I must say I love the dine in set up as well & the restaurant was immaculately clean! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Meant to write this a couple visits ago. Anna who was handling the counter (in New Haven) was awesome. I had some coupons and things and they've been a little scattered about that in other visits, but she just figured it all out, and reminded this human why it's better to actually go somewhere and do something, than thumb through another app. I was back there again tonight, and the counter and kitchen staff was also great, tho I didn't catch their names.
On the food: the hottest level chicken is pretty hot. Fries are great. The mac and cheese is my 6yo's favorite anywhere. The house sauce is legitimately unique and delicious.
