they would not honor lunch restaurant week price, very dissatisfied with them because they were listed as a restaurant week restaurant
Had such a nice evening at II Gabbiano. Our waiter, Carlos was personable, knowledgeable, and so accommodating—such a pleasure! Food was plentiful and absolutely delicious! Enjoyed seeing manager Asiole (sorry for spelling). Looking forward to returning!!
The atmosphere is beautiful. We had a gorgeous view of the harbor, at night, with the lights gleaming on the water. The service was impeccable! The food was very good, nice quantity and freshness. The desserts were excellent! Creamiest cheesecake.
Food was very good . Convenient location with ample parking. A pretty restaurant overlooking the harbor.
Some of the dishes were quite good (e.g., beet salad). The rib-eye was advertised as prime. My husband ordered it as medium rare. It was thin, completely brown and tough. For over $45. The desserts were good. The main problem was the noise. I asked everyone at our table not to talk and I turned on the decibel reader on my phone. It was mostly in the 90s, but topped off at 103 (a danger level).
Way too much food. No attention for the birthday we were having the dinner for. Soda drinks taste like chloride.
We went here for lunch on a Sunday. Beautiful restaurant with great views of the water. We had rice balls for appetizer and that was very good! Bread was so fresh and excellent. I had the veal Milanese. This was excellent, so tender and the salad was so good too. My daughter had the pesto Taglianetti with shrimp, another excellent choice and finally the pasta cacio and pepe, another excellent choice. the prices were a little bit high, but the portions are huge do you have leftovers!. The service was excellent. Everyone was so nice. I would highly recommend and would definitely come back. it is an easy exit from the Connecticut turnpike.
Awesome fried calamari and beef meatballs. The bolognese was also very good. Portions are generous and good ambiance. Even though it was a day after a nor'easter, the view was still gorgeous in a forbidding manner.
Excellent. Everything was wonderful. Great food and service. Only complaint was my dinner portion of the Veal could have fed a family of 4!
We ordered the special of the evening which was seabass & it was absolutely superb! It was so moist & tender & extremely tasty & delicious! We loved it!

Food was sumptuous and staff were attentive without being intrusive. We had asked for water view and they truly gave us the best table for it! Thank you!
The outside table we sat at was perfect for the gorgeous day. The food was delicious and our waiter was very attentive to our needs. Overall very nice meal!
AMAZING all around! Food, service, parking, view! Loved everything we ordered- apps, drinks, wine. The real killer was when I dropped my fork and somehow a waiter from across the room saw it and came over immediately with a replacement!

Our Food experience was not the best for the quality. I’m Italian and I dine out frequently with partners.our pasta was not aldente but undercooked..it was just not cooked and rushed and the calamari was terrible rubbery not tender not smell fresh and fishy Food was “sub par” I’ll stick with quality ingredients at VRO inches. We went for thinking lunch but were charged dinner prices. My Pasta was spicy, and it did not indicate that on the menu description in the pasta Matriana
