This was not bad at all. The grilled chicken Kabobs hits the spot and the pad Thai was OK. For the price it was perfectly fine that day at the Garlic Festival. Judging from some of the other views however they might be health code challenged

Yikes! Cross Contamination, warning. I bought some chicken on a stick with the lo mein noodles. I watched the cook pick up some raw chicken with tongs, and then precede to pick up my cooked chicken with the same tongs, then touching the cooked chicken and rubbing it against a raw piece of chicken and then put it on my plate and served it to me!!! I couldn't believe what I had seen. Obviously I didn't eat the food and just threw it away, I didn't want to make a scene but I thinks people need to know about the risk with eating here.

This place on cedar St is horrible I feel so bad for all the drs and nurses by the hospital who eat this.they don't clean there carts they serve old meat from festivals that they've saved for weeks it's unsanitary the wife digs her hands in everything and the husband is racist and an alcoholic who talks about doing stuff to little 13 year old girls there disgusting people and deserve to be shut down its the Thai kitchen and indochine pavilion they run them both if they stay open people will probably get food poisoning and the carts are not insulated so when they get hot u can get burnt.im just trying to get the word out because I feel bad for the ppl who eat there food.they save the leftover food for the following day ugh nasty ..and he's always drunk on the job it's really bad..

I had food from this truck during 2018 Hartford riverfront truck festival. I saw a board in front of it saying rated high by many places like AOL.com. Also there was a good line in front of it. I tried their combo with pineapple fried rice and sesame chicken. Both were ok. On a scale of 1 - 10, where 10 is an average thai restaurant fried rice, I would rate this as 6. The garlic chicken was ok as well. It didn't have a lot of flavor, nor was it particularly juicy.

Charged more than the posted signage. Does not take card, but they had no signs or warnings indicating that.

Indochine had a booth at the Meriden Mall Food Truck Event. I got the Garlic Chicken (on a stick) and the Pad Thai noodles. The Garlic Chicken was tasty and cook well. The Pad Thai noodle were just horrible. I had a few bites and tossed the rest. Short review but there is not to much more to say.

I've always enjoyed this place. Have driven 25 minutes out of my way on many occasions to eat their lunch buffet. The selection isn't enormous, but I've always greatly enjoyed the food and dining experience. I've been to one other Thai place on Chapel Street and didn't like it nearly as much.

Great Vegi Options.

Indochine is one of many mediocre Thai restaurants on Chapel Street. That said, Indochine also has some Vietnamese offerings. I had a basil stir-fry with tofu. Vegans and vegetarians beware: most of the "vegetarian" dishes here contain oyster sauce so make sure to specify your requirements when you order. As I'm a vegan, I always tell them, "no fish sauce, no oyster sauce and no egg." (Also, I've given up on pretty much all curries, as 98% of curries in American Thai restaurants have shrimp paste pre-mixed and cannot be modified, even if they're labeled as "vegetarian.") I liked the large portion size but the taste of the dish left me underwhelmed. It was a pretty bland and simple stir-fry and nothing else. The service was friendly if not particularly fast. The interior has a sickly neon glow thanks to questionable lighting choices; this is not the best place to take a date.

I only ate here once, and it was during their lunch buffet. I sampled a bit of everything they had to offer, and the food left me with no desire to return. Any of the other 4 Thai restaurants on the block are much better than the food that I ate here. All of the chicken dishes seemed to have dark meat only, and it was very chewy/rubbery. The food was cheap, but I would rather spend a couple more bucks elsewhere on the block.

Pho is awesome.

This review is based on their lunch cart on Science Hill near the Yale School of Management. Above all, the cheap prices stood out -- 3.50 for 1 item, 4.75 for 2 and 5 for 3. The portions are huge and the food is pretty tasty. It's probably so cheap because there is hardly any meat or eggs (at least in the pad thai and drunken noodle), but, when I need a quick, cheap bite between classes and don't want to trek back to my apartment, this would fit the bill. I hope to try out the other carts soon.

I started hitting up Indochine when in Middle School because it was right across the street from the comic book shop. As a growing boy it was one of my first experiences with an all you can eat buffet. Its an eclectic SouthEast Asian fare (Thai, Vietnamise, etc). They have the Drunken Noodles, the Pad Thai, that coconut/curry rice and other assorted vegi goodies for the veg in you. They got the nice Singha beer libation to wash it down also. I personally like the atmosphere. It's dimly lighted with pics and items from the far east all over. When I walk into it I feel that they are rocking the atmosphere for their benefit and not the 'normal american comfortability factor.' There is great service also. You aren't going to be 'ignored.'
