After trying to go here forever we finally showed up when it was open, the gentleman behind the counter was extremely friendly and the hot dogs were delicious. We got chili dog and a Chicago dog. We will def be visiting this place again!!
I got the giant red hot with chili and cheese which was excellent! As I went to the men's room to wash up I noticed a poster that I had seen a long time ago and it turns out this is the same Jakes that was in New Haven when I was in college! Visited here many times back then and it hasn't changed. Same great food!
Jake's Diggity Dogs is GREAT! If you haven't been here before, check them out! They have a LOT of toppings & different mustards and the dogs are foot-long. The food is fresh & made to order, so even if you order one of their specialty dogs, feel free to add or remove whatever you like or don't. You can take-out or eat in. They have 2 or 3 tables outside, as well.
